As I posted in response to 'Bluke' in the Match Day Forum when he referred to Ake as 'Nate' on scoring the second to kill it off, I reckon Warren G had the UK footy media (especially Tyler and Neville and their responses to Ake's goal) in mind when writing 'Regulate', as in:

'Nate Dogg was about to turn some bodies cold'
