We'll have serious problems in midfield next season if he decides he still wants to leave this summer and we let him go. Hopefully we can convince him to stay a bit longer.

I'm starting to get a bit worried about midfield next season.

Gundogan - wrong side of 30, inconsistent this season, rumours he wants to go back to Germany

Kdb - wrong side of 30, had some injuries in the last few seasons and seems to take a while for him to get up and running.

Bernardo - actively tried to leave last summer

Grealish - not trusted to play there yet seemingly

Foden - preferred on the wing.

No back-up for Rodri either with Ferna leaving.

Frenkie De Jong would be an ideal signing for us because he can play as a number 6 or a number 8. It would kill two birds with one stone as he could both rotate with Rodri when needed or with KDB/Gundo/Bernardo.

Our Kante, but a miles better footballer. His best bit of creative play came when De Bruyne went off. Feel like he’s always thrived in KDB’s absence, and perhaps selling Kev might be necessary to get him to commit.
