I think some of our best performances last season happened with a midfield 3 of Gundogan-Rodri-Bernie and KdB as the false 9.

Better midfield controllers, and KdB is a great goal scorer around the box but can also drop deep and create as he does, also puts less onus on him to sprint back and defend as he is getting older.

Grealish can rotate in Foden's LW spot or Gundogan LCM spot.

Ferran can rotate with KdB when we want a real striker and is 9 years younger so has age on his side to develop his game in the center.

Edit: In fact last season when we won 2 out of 4 trophies and only lost to Chelsea who made us lose out on the FA Cup (in semis) and Champions League... in both games Pep moved away from our dominant midfield 3 that was destroying teams. We need that midfield dynamic back and we saw that today, I think Grealish can do the business in there.

Someone said on Twitter that Bernie could find space in a sleeping bag with Fatty Shaw lol.

That mesmerising run when he set up Phil reminded me of what Merlin did on occasions when he would set up Kun.

I can’t give Bernie a greater complement than that.

When did Spanish Dave beat six players with his dribbling he was more adept at finding space between the lines and then delivering the right pass. He was more Kinky esq than Silva esq.

No he’s not I’ve just had it rammed down my throat by sky and talkshite that saint Mo is the greatest in the world not just the Premier League but the world. We did play yesterday didn’t we?
