This is fucking ridiculous. Talk about pure click-bait.

What Ronaldo actually said - the bit in quotes - was this.

"It is hard to choose just one player to say this one will be the best,” he said.

“But I think it is exciting to see this new generation of young players, like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, who are coming through.

“Some players can have one or two great seasons, the really great players are the ones that keep doing it season after season, and that is not so easy to do.

“It takes a lot of hard work, and a lot of commitment.”

When did he come out with this incendiary stuff? May 2021.

Hold the fucking front page.

All such quotes must be headlined "fired a warning" nowadays.
It's the rules.

He's gone full Bert. And it's fucking beautiful

Yeah, do you remember the early years when he just seemed a bit bemused by the fans' views on stuff? He gets it right now tho. PWOPA BITTOH is our pep!

Pep calling out those who act like the money City spend is worse than the money utd and liverpool spend...

To paraphrase: "When we have Etihad on our shirts it's overpaid.........if Utd or Liverpool get more because they have good business or the COO is a good negotiator, it's for the United States of America or another country, so that is perfect".

A not-so-subtle dig at the casual racism that we see directed at our owner. And he's absolutely right to call it out too.
Exactly, constant and consistent casual racism being used, though Alan Davies ‘go back to the desert you came from’ about City owners and the knobhead journalist who said the Newcastle owners were a row of ‘grinning beards’ have used anything but casual racism, amazingly both still have their jobs!

In no other organisation in this country could you use such clear racist language and expect to retain your job, but let’s not forget they are all also supporters of the ‘Kick it Out’ campaign…

I read this morning that Liverpool were going to outdo City by signing Mbappe and that Ronaldo had warned Haaland that it was not easy o be the best in the world (did he get that from Messi?!) and then I read the BBC's football gossip, and what a pleasure it was! Not a mention of EBR but tales of Arsenal prepared to offload a £72m player for £25m while the other 'istree clubs (here and abroad) chase players I've never heard of for sums I can't understand. And it turns out our injury prone lump only cost £51m in reality. And all in dirty oil money!

Keys earning is oil money again and being a kn*b again on BeIN Sports.(Qatar)

Speaking on beIN SPORTS, Keys said: "In an open market he's probably worth, what, £120m?" Gray was adamant, however, that Haaland was worth far more than that sum. He insisted: "No, he's worth more than Harry Kane. He's 21? 22?"

Keys added: "He certainly might be, Andy, but so was Jadon Sancho and he's done nothing in his first year at Manchester United. I still think it isn't a gamble, but we're into the unknown. I don't think he's yet proven that he is the real deal."

But Gray fired back, insisting that Haaland has already proven himself: "Well, listen, everywhere he's been and gone, everywhere he's been asked to step up and prove [himself], he's done it. So far

Listened to that, Keys is just a wind up merchant and all things red fan boy.
The only interesting thing he said last night was that they won't be around in a couple of years, being fucked off after world Cup hopefully

There has been a sea change hasn't there, perhaps the PL investigation will be announced shortly and we've been advised of the (favourable) outcome ahead of time?

Noticeably so. We'd have been stupid to say too much before the outcome of the PL witch-hunt was known. Pep's recent home-truths appear to suggest that the outcome is known and he's been freed up to say what he feels.

We’ve done it the hard way before and will do it again.
This transfer window is already looking amazing and we’re only just getting going.
Our squad is getting the refresher it needs to deal with any shit we get thrown.
I honestly believe next season we will have the best and deepest squad in the premier league.
Well we have someway to go to get the deepest/best squad, I hope you're right and we address this. We have 5 players less than Liverpool in the respective first team squad lists. Needs addresing

This new thing of including wages on top of transfer fee is doing my nut. I assume they will apply this too all clubs this summer then? Even that thick c*nt Micky Gray was at it just now on talkshite.
IIRC this selective bullshit started when City bought Tevez, paying MSI £25 million for him. This was soon inflated to the 'true' figure of £45 million and £47 million by various media outlets without anybody explaining how or why they came to this amount. Then his alleged £50 million a year wages (close on a million a week ffs) over his 5 year contract (£250 million) were added along with signing on fee, loyalty payments and bonuses, thereby making his 'real' fee over £300 million.

From footyacumulators.

Jaw Dropping Contract

City paid crazy amounts to MSI to get their man but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Getting a player of Tevez's quality to leave a successful, big club like United meant that he'd demand serious money and the extent of his contract is absolutely ludicrous. Over the course of his 5 year contract he was guaranteed a base salary of £50.3m - making him the highest paid player in the Premier League by some distance. Absolutely staggering amounts and there's more to come, with City including some achievable but hugely lucrative bonuses.
Tevez was supposedly given €1m for reaching the UEFA Champions League, €1m for being the Premier League's top goalscorer and €2m for winning the Premier League title. Alongside the performance based add-ons he was awarded signing on fees of £7.5m along with 'loyalty payments' which totalled to another £7.5m. And if that wasn't enough money for the Argentine he also had a clause inserted into his contract which promised that should any other player employed by the club join and be given a higher salary than him, City were were forced to match that figure.

And so it continues.

And so it continues.

I particularly like the interchanging of pounds and euros
