Leroy Sané

There's no doubting Sané's talent. However, his temperament is perhaps the principal reason Pep didn't fight too hard when the lad started to agitate for a move to Bayern. When his head was in the right place, he could be unplayable. Otherwise, he often drifted in an out of games and sometimes just didn't look up for the fight. Not only do I think it would be a mistake to go back in for him, I can't envisage Pep sanctioning such a move. For me, it's time to look elsewhere, particularly if Sterling continues to stall on a contract extension.

Has to be said, I don't know of many people out there rocking a full back tattoo of themselves.
Putting the ego issues to one side, that effort looks looks like a charcoal drawing by a three year old which has been left out on the rain. If ever you need something to put your kids off getting a tattoo...

Was, he has lost his hunger, there are a lot of top football people that have questioned his attitude, are they all wrong?
There's a world class player in there waiting to come out, but it has to be about him rather than the team.

He's a classic example of a lad who's been overindulged by everyone since he was a baby, and doesn't like being told what to do.

Stan Collymore had a very similar problem as a young lad and never really reached the levels he was capable of.

It takes a really special manager to bring the best out of players like Sane. I think that it's worth one more try by Pep now that he seems to have grown up a bit.

He is an incredible talent without doubt, probably the most exciting player when on his game in our shirt in the last 10 years which says a lot.

BUT, he clearly has issues with attitude/temperament and I don't think that any coach can put a stop to that as we have seen already.

Sane is already a multi millionaire and for me does not have the hunger to go that one final step to be a true great.

And with Bayern ready to sell, I think it tells you all you need to know.

You've hit the nail on the head there, I suppose....

Multi millionaire footballers... First World problems.

Yeah it's astonishing that a man of his means was unable to at least find someone good to do it.

And unfortunately as much as I like Sane, that attitude/temperament, will be his undoing. I just hope he finds a way to get over that hurdle or else his doomed and we will never see that world class player shine again!

Come on Leroy!

I'm a firm believer in he's made his bed now he can lie in it... Had he stayed here he'd be contributing 35 g/a by now and he'd have massively improved beyond anything we saw, to me he's shown only massive regression after stupidly making the wrong move joining the rags/dippers/gooners of Germany he's now 26 and 27 halfway through next season, he might be German but it doesn't mean you need to join Bayern once they show you any attention such a disappointment, he would've been absolutely world class it was extremely foolish of him to move to anyone at such a key time in his development especially following his injury.

As a player I loved watching him seeing him breeze past players and what he offered was very exciting, had he not been stupid and stayed here showed a willingness to improve then a move to Bayern right now would be completely impossible for him, as they couldn't possibly have matched his wage demands he would be on a whole other level financially, Bayern have their wage structure he'd never be going there had he stayed till now whether that'd mean staying here going Real or Barca others etc.

Not sure what to think I dunno I'd really love a player like him but to me he's already wasted too much time in stagnation to ever become the player that he should've when here, honestly I think he's blown it bigtime and wasted too much valuable time to reach the heights that he should've by now, doesn't mean I'm writing him off as a player but we've moved on to other players and I really can't see Pep who loved him taking him back you get no second chances with him, think it was the reason we didn't go back in for Messi like Sane he wasted Pep's time so he made other arrangements and was cold, if he does that to Messi then Leroy has zero chance whatsoever I don't see a route back here for Sane as Pep is ruthless, he's messed up bad I can see him ending up at Newcastle trying to resurrect his career and doing well at an ambitious attacking team should he leave but I think Juventus would be a bad move for him.

Electric pace
Great dribbler.
Skillful.
Good finisher.

Mbappe is so much more confident in how he applies himself though. So much hunger and desire compared to Sane who is far too comfortable with where he’s at and what he’s already done.

In terms of raw talent Sane could have been well on his way to being an elite class player right now.

Not as prolific as Mbappe. You are correct on Sane's application. Doesn't alter that I wouldn't be against him coming back but more importantly Pep would be against it

Still got the same criticisms to his game and application when we bought him. Nevermind when we sold him. Cant see him ever coming back or changing as a player.

Ultimately, Pep probably wouldn’t want to have to coach Mbappe as he’s not a team player, so he’s really unlikely to want Sane back.
