I know having a favourite ref is a bit like having a favourite serial killer and there will always be a few decisions in a game that you can point to and criticise them for but for me last night was a bravura performance from my favourite ref (Stoke cup final) Atkinson.

This being the very reason the UEFA stopped them. I used to hate having to do 1 on a Sunday morning when both lads hung over and both would prefer to kick the other.

Will be interesting to see where Dean is for the last match. He's a possibility for the last match, and it'll have been a month or so since he last reffed City, I think.

I doubt they'd put him at Anfield unless the title is decided next Tuesday, and if appointments made on Wednesday.
