One of the biggest brain-farts Klopp has had this season is complaining that Spurs didn't acquiesce and play the way they HE wanted them to against them.

Just breaking that sentiment down shows how deluded he genuinely is.

Conte has gone up in my estimation for that. Let's hope he's not the only Italian manager who pisses Klopp off this season.

There you have it . Moaning that 93 and 97 pts isn't good enough to win the hardest league in the world. Yet Liverpool won their last champions league after losing 4 games. It seems one is tougher to win than the other

I’ve tried to point this out to a scouser. Pep is the difference, this squad under any other manager would not be as good. Swap Pep for say Allegri, Zidane or Anchelotti and Liverpool would have won the league.

You only need to look how he raised the bar in Spain and Germany. Give Tommy Tuchell this squad, they’d be third. Give Pep his squad, he’d still be aiming for 95 points.

The improvement he has achieved with players like Sterling has been amazing. I am not sure this team would have won a single trophy in the last five years under a different manager. When he leaves we will need a big transition.

Does anyone know how we can avoid the play off game? If we win the league by 4 points will that be enough or does it have to be more.
I think only one of our goals last night was from outside the box so that surely counts against us.

That's true but it takes time to build a new squad. I don't think our playing style will change much. All our teams from the under 12s, the women's team, to the first team, play possession-based football. I wonder if Soriano and Txi will remain if Pep goes for example. Pep's departure will be a big moment for us. We managed the Mancini/Pellegrini transition well so I am optimistic. Hopefully this won't happen till at least 2025.

If we lose 2-0 at Wet Sham and they win 5-0 at the Saints, then it is a complete deadlock.

We can say we have won more games and they can say they have lost less, but I don’t think that counts.

If we win the league by 6 points or less it goes down to Net Spend first, then goal difference second.

If they win their last two games and finish 2nd it'll be the 7th best season in PL history, and the 2nd best ever not to win it.

Even if the wheels fell off completely, and we did lose the title to them, I would still be rather in the city camp than theirs long term, yes it would hurt for a day and half, but the sun is setting on them and an ageing squad and players still not committed to new deals,

Manchester city is a young squad and with youth from within the city camp coming through and add haaland and Alvarez to this squad means goals and city killing teams off early in games

also next season 5 subs rule is playing into pep hands, and we can keep most of the squad from this season and add a left back and another midfield player city could rip teams apart in the first half and change players for the 2nd half

If we manage to keep going and by some miracle Real and Chelsea did the business, I reckon we might witness one of those mass hysteria events that you see on the History channel, like the Alsace dance plague of 1518. Not sure what form it'll take but they are so on the edge and twisted out of shape as a fanbase that anything is possible.
