After tweeting "Guess who's back", if Pep says tomorrow that nothings changed they're not available, somebody in our social media department needs their arse kicking

Won’t play both as if they broke down it’s one sub left My guess is he starts Kyle so Cancelo plays left then after 50mins John can replace Kyle thus having 2 subs in reserve
Yeah even before they were pictured in training today I was wondering if Pep would risk Kyle anyway, just for the first half, if it gave us a better chance of being 2-0 up by half-time. At which point he'd put Stones on to see it out.

Not wanting to be a Debbie Downer and all that, but it only means they are fit enough to train, not play.
Means it's not a last-minute dash, though. The club seem pretty confident that they're alright.

Usually in scenarios like this you'd expect Walker and Stones to be training alone on Thursday/Friday, then Pep would be in his Friday presser saying things like "Well, we're going to train this afternoon and then again on Saturday morning, so we'll see how Kyle and John feel after that... to see if there's a reaction... Then we'll do a fitness test on Sunday morning and maybe they'll be good to play, but I don't know", or words to that effect.

Before the Madrid game there were those accusations that Pep had hidden Stones and Walker from the view of the media so that he could suddenly spring them on Madrid in the Bernabeau. That obviously backfired in the end. But this seems pretty decisive from all involved. Walker and Stones have been out there training with the whole squad with 2/3 days to spare, the social media team gleefully tweeting about it, etc. It's been done for the whole world to see.

One of them definitely starts on Sunday. Unsure if it'll be the two of them - as others have said, it might be best to play Kyle for an hour, get ourselves in front, and then put Stones on for Walker just to see the game out. It sounds better than risking them both breaking down at half-time and having to waste two subs on sorting things out at the back. But what a great day this has turned out to be in the end. It's a huge relief. You can tell everyone feels better.

For which point? It's been said as part of the add on's for Grealish Villa would get an extra 25 million if we won the league. It seems a lot to me but who knows?
Is that true ? Personally I would surprised if we coughed up the full £100m release clause and then had add-ons. I would understand it if we did a deal at something less than £100m with add-ons to bring the maximum payout to that amount.

Not exactly “a bit of money “ is it ? I’d say that’s something to play for.
If Villa are thinking of the finances it would make sense to go all out with their strongest team tonight for the 3 points to potentially finish a couple of places higher and then take their chances on Sunday safe in the knowledge that they get a Grealish windfall coming their way if they lose

Lets just fuck the peaky blinders end of ;-)

Even if they don’t play it gives slippy G a few things to think about
His game plan might have to change now
Hopefully they have a few muscle strains of their own tonight
Konsa being out is big news, chambers and mings at the back is something to watch tonight

They'd train if there was a CHANCE of them playing on Sunday or even being on the bench.

I'm not trying to be the harbinger of doom here. I'm just pointing out that it isn't cut and tried.

The good news is that both won't be far from match fitness as they haven't had long layoffs.
Thing is you don’t save them for use off bench, they are defenders. You start with them and then risk having to take one off through injury. Not conceding first is the key to winning on Sunday.

I’d be stunned if we have already given them 100 mill and they are getting that much more if he wins the league. I’m not buying into it.
It won’t be true this. Someone has probably made this up and it’s gathered pace. I’ve never heard of a deal where you pay £25m for winning the league! Especially not at a club that have won it 3 times in 4 years without him!

It's bullshit. It was attributed to Micah and he says it's not true/he never said it. No other source, just endless retweets.

It's the dippers getting their excuses in early, so if we win it's not because we're the best team in the league, it's because Villa threw it for the money, and it's big bad dirty oil money City ruining football again, while poor old best-in-the-world Liverpool huff and puff to the moral victory of a second place they'll spend the rest of their lives telling anyone who listens should have been first.

Chances are they would have something like this usually, but I would not imagine a 1/4 of the transfer fee.

Possibly £5 million.

However, if we pay a release clause, you pay the full amount and that’s that.

Also, you don’t get clubs telling players lose this game we’ll get a add on.

Has about as much influence as Gerrard masterminding a win because he’s Liverpool fan. The truth is that makes very little difference, however it makes it worse with all the media stories if we do lose.

£75m + £25m add ons was quite widely reported at the time, but yeah the idea that there is a singular add on for one league was a joke that got out of hand.

Late to the party here so forgive if already covered. Wouldn’t the value of any add on payment for Jack winning the Lge (if one existed) be smaller than Villa winning three points and finishing a couple of places higher in the EPL table?
