To be fair there are only about a dozen of you that populate this thread now.

I voted leave, wrongly, no problem admitting it but this thread is the very definition of a hamster wheel.

It’s an echo chamber.
What is the best way of getting this information to people who have stuck their fingers in their ears, buried their heads in the sand and claim nothing that is happening now is due to Brexit?

Just ignore him - he's bitter his nirvana has turned out to be a heap of shit - for some quite lterally it seems

I think it’s a pertinent question as until they start listening, we will not begin to repair the damage.

Come on now!!
It‘s not as if the govt. had instructed the civil service and staff not to mention the ‘B’ word, or leading brexit proponents and ministers were asking sun readers for advice on how good it all was, and same ministers for ‘brexit opportunities’ - opportunities which we were told were staring us in the face- were describing the implementation of one of the central requirements of brexit as an ‘act of self-harm’.
That would be ridiculous, so best shoot the messenger for reporting it.

Sure and our “echo chamber” will totally agree with that.

The question is, how do you get that through to the people who voted for this mess?

They don’t read Bluemoon mate so you are doing no public service.

Just another unsurprising, pointless and redundant response.
It’s increasingly apparent with every day and question asked that brexit was simply the end in itself
There is nothing else.

But thats the one thing he cannot admit - if he says this is it there will be no expansive trade deals across the globe people from outside the EU will continue to get VISA's and come and live here, you are doomed to join the long queue at EU airports forever and you cannot retire to the EU without becoming a citizen of your country of choice and complying with all that countries requirements to do so then he admits his Brexit is a busted flush ( doesn't mean some other charlatan can't step into the breech and promise to carry it on but "do it better" ) and then all the rest of the lies the cheating and the support comes crashing round his feet and he is fucked - he would denounce the Queen as an illegal immigrant before he would do that

It will be fascinating to see what his flagship policies will actually be at the next GE.
They‘re already desperately avoiding any serious discussion about brexit, (see above) and the other slogan about ‘levelling up’ is turning out to be just that- a slogan and nowt else.
What can they go to red wall voters with?
What can they go to southern blue wall traditional with?
Cost of living? Increased tax and NI? Immigration? vaccines are so last year.
They are failing badly on all the important stuff ( you know, the stuff we all allegedly want to talk about instead of partygate) and they have nothing in the tank.
I presume they will carry on blaming covid and war for their serial failures but that can only go so far.
Of course the tories are really only interested in themselves and power, so they have the added problem of replacing blobby with a credible election winning leader and when your choice is the ones they have in a cabinet devoid of political skills, and any sort of personality or credibility then good luck.
So they go into the next campaign with either a leader with a criminal record, or one with no substance and some ( if any) discredited policies.
It doesn’t look good, so waffle about lambing sheds seems a suitable response.

Levelling up is more than a slogan - its another way that politicians can dip their bread - its happened up here already with Tees Valley airport and the Redcar Steelworks site.
The various wall voters will be apportioned out depending on their value to him. Some Red and some Blue wall seats will be expendable as long as the end calculation = a Tory win so he will tell them whatever he thinks they want to hear on cost of living, tax and NI and immigration. Vaccines could come back - Covid hasn't gone away and if they can time a GE at the end of a infection peak in the autumn / winter that they can claim to have contained with some sort of control through vaccines it will be a greatest hit to be revived matey
If thats not the case they cannot then keep using Covid as a villain - the war will be tougher depending on how it pans out and when the GE comes - as the money runs out support for Ukraine will have to decrease.
Then we come to their biggest issue - we keep hearing they see no natural replacement - if he continues to convince them of that and the lies fines and discrepancies keep adding up with Brexit just not progressing and the WTO looking to act on us then I expect whenever a GE is called it will get personal and he will be bombarded from all sides about his failings - even Farage and GBN hate him now.
In fact I think his own worst 2 nightmares now are 1/ his party turning on him and I believe 2/ Starmer getting fined and quitting as leader - that will bring about number 1 in my opinion.

Brexit benefits you ask?

Dippers stuck in long queues at Dover and hopefully many of them miss the game ;-)
