Seeing as United try to copy our transfer strategy and then balls it up, I would say they´d nailed on to swoop for a Mr James Saville of Leeds.
 
Whenever I've seen him for England I've always felt he looked very good in a pairing, but not so much on his own.

Does seem more a Fernandinho than a Rodri type, which is no bad thing.

Same situation as Jack was... Jack put it so well when he signed; that when City called, with a league title in the bag and all four competitions to challenge for, he couldn't say no, and didnt.

IMO there is no doubt if City, Arsenal or West Ham called, City would win it every time.
 
Not sure whether he's the right player but it's a position we require depth in.

Have no doubt that he'd settle into the squad well.

This is a really boring argument. You don't seem to be aware of what Txiki does at City so perhaps you can go off and research that first. I couldn't give two fucks what Hojbjerg or Bruno cost.

Demand more from Txiki?
Outside of being integral to building a trophy winning machine in the past decade he has built the playing side of the CFG brand so we are now one of the biggest names in world sport. I think he is doing alright.

I was responding to the given opinion but, yes, I agree wholeheartedly that if Pep thinks he can get a good tune out of him then we’re very likely to enjoy the music.

And there is no way in hell you can call Hojbjerg and Bruno "WAY" better. And again, we have NO indication of a fee.

Ill trust the board on Phillips, he just seems to fit City like a glove.
 
Found a thread on Phillips on a Leeds forum and boy was that encouraging. Not.
