I see some of our usuals bending over themselves to excuse the obvious. Always has to be a contrary view these days.
You turn up with a bona fide ticket and go to the allotted gate - and hey presto you get in and don't get batoned or gassed.
As much as we don't like UEFA, there's only one element to blame here.

Fair play to the gendarmes, when in our country you don't get away with that sort of behaviour. If the fans didn't try getting in with tickets so obviously dodgy or non at all and watched in town nothing would have gone wrong.

I'm in Paris for the weekend for work. Thought it was going to be a nightmare, didn't watch the game but followed it while drinking absinthe in a lovely bar, came home on the metro full of absinthe buzz surrounded by 100s of crying and gutted looking Liverpool fans, including a pair of American lads who were in full kits and being very loud and obnoxious at breakfast. Happy days. Didn't think the season could end this sweetly after Madrid tbh.

Hahaha a bunch of southerners that clearly wasn't at the match yesterday travelled up for the parade on sky sports news, interviewer trying to get them to say something, anything, nothing but 1 word answers throughout until he starts going on about city.
