There is absolutely no rush to announce anything right now, or not even soon. United paid Dortmund for Sancho on July 1st and only announced him July 23rd. We’ve already paid Dortmund for the clause but he is still their player. The only people in a rush are members of this board and some on Twitter. It could be that we only announce him when he’s back from vacations.
Reading anything into it is just embarrassing. Who’s announcing players atm anyway? It’s not even the “transfer season” yet.
Maybe even more embarrassing is looking at the quotes from the Norwegian manager and thinking he means anything. All he did was introduce Haaland at the conference and say “guys, please no questions about his future club, he hasn’t been introduced formally yet”. It’s very probable that it was a request from us, as we would like to have him talking about City in our own media. If he answered one question about the topic, he would be answering questions about it all conference. The manager had to get ahead of the pack and kill it upfront. Stop being weird about it, my God.

Haaland stuff is all but done imo, our owner, chairman & DOF has done another remarkable job
