We have financial limitations despite what rival fans will tell you about unlimited spending power. Everything is relative to the cost. At £25-30 million he represents good value to us and we should be all over it, at double that, he isn't worth it and I don't believe we would still be interested.
Every club in the world has transfers that don`t meet expectations for various reasons something which some people cant get their head around.But that is not a reason to feel embarrassed. Incredibly earlier today there were people on here suggesting he could play the 8 role! Sure we need a Fernandinho replacement but this fella is still a downgrade on prime Fernandinho for me, in that I don't think he could ever play emergency full back or centre half and I'm not sure he offers the much of a goal threat in the form of long shots that Fernandinho delivered. I suppose he could best be described as a modern day Nigel De Jong at a ridiculously expensive price?
