Keir Starmer

Strong opening in PMQs.

Starmer acknowledged the anniversary of the Falklands War.

Johnson has said nowt.

Why would he declare their position? What good would it do?

Well his job is to attract voters and when the news is dominated by one of the most unpopular policies in decades, it’s quite good if the opposition can say “hey you know that terrible policy you hate? We won’t do that if you elect us”.

Well, it would make it easier to determine whether or not he's all that different from Johnson for starters.

Well his job is to attract voters and when the news is dominated by one of the most unpopular policies in decades, it’s quite good if the opposition can say “hey you know that terrible policy you hate? We won’t do that if you elect us”.
There’s plenty of time for him to do that. All he’d do now in telling us their policy is watch the Tories steal said policy.

He should have said we definitely wouldn’t send people to Rwanda though.

Keiths pledge number 6 was

Defend migrants rights.

His spokesman is refusing to say he would scrap the Rwanda nonsense. Pandering to RW garbage is not a good look.

Then he calls Johnson the Conservative Corbyn, WTF was he thinking? All he seems to do is alienate the left of the party and the left of the party are already feeling betrayed by him.

Get the **** out now.

Starmer seems like nice person but he’s such a wooden public speaker, especially when he tries to inject humour. Always get the impression that he’s thoroughly rehearsed everything but just doesn’t have any comic timing. Would much rather watch Yvette Cooper shred everyone.

It all depends what side you are looking from. From what I see he is moving the Party stance away from the incorrect portrayal of Corbyn and as a human rights lawyer it should be glaringly obvious that he wouldn’t support the Rwanda concept. Isn’t that what he has been saying all along and what they voted against?

It’s not useless, how can Labour keep putting their polices forward when 90% of them are then taken on by this government?

Labour will set out their stall closer to the time when this populist government can’t react.

Nah. He only had to say that they would scrap it, it's that simple. He could've gone back on his word about it like he usually does if he really wanted to.
