It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I think so too and probably a good move for both parties. He is mad to leave but we will sign a replacement. Felix links won’t go away.

What felix links? Someone had a loose pop at it, and someone else with supposed good links with the club instantly denied it. Been nothing else to it.

To put it into context, Liverpool got ‘only’ £27.5m guaranteed for Mané, rising to a possible £35m, because he had a year left on his deal and wanted to leave. We got a guaranteed £45m, rising to you’d assume around £50m for Jesus, yet he also had a year left and wanted to leave. And is an inferior player, as much as I love him. Great business.

Yeah Gabi is 5 years younger mate. And Brazil's no.9.

Not complaining about the reported fee, just saying, he Should cost a fair bit more than Mane, Liverpool got a good deal there.

Is sterling goes which is looking likely we need to keep the English player quota topped up. English international for 45 mill, standard procedure and a good signing

We don't. We'll still have 6 out of 4 even after he leaves. Not including Foden who is CT.

That is undisputed

I'll dispute it.

He is 'better' only in the sense he plays regularly every minute in a team that plays one way ball to him and salad.

Can't dispute he has done more, but if Jesus played for someone else and we were buying one right now for the prices they are going for, I'd be wanting Jesus all day long.

Daily Fail carrying the story that salah can leave for 60m this summer.

We should look for a similar fee for Raz, but I think Jesus fee has set the standard.

45 to 50m
Bargain. Sell Mahrez and get him

I don’t think we’d go in for Salah, but I do have a feeling we’ve been sticking our nose into his contract negotiations with Liverpool. We could quite easily say we’d happily pay him £300k pw and that’s his head turned.
I hope not. No matter his qualities. He's cheated (dived) far too much for me to ever have ANY kind of respect for him as a player.

I don’t want him at City. I’m just saying we can be shit stirring on the sly telling Salahs agent we’ll pay him what he wants just so he gets what he wants from Liverpool. They’ve caused plenty of shit with City over the past few years, it’s only right to play them at their game.

people have too much a hardon for buybacks, we don't ever use them, we used it one time for angelino and he wasn't good enough to stay, made a decent profit on him but no one will want to return to the club only to be re-sold again. end of the day if someone has the potential to play for city, don't sell them to begin with. imo they are selling the ones that they don't feel will make it here so i dont really think the buybacks are that necessary
It also generates hope or even opportunity for other younger academy stars.

If we sign Neymar, Salah or any other player in that ilk. Rival fans will go into full meltdown, they are already complaining and calling the prem ligue 1 and the bundesliga from our business already.
