Might be a chance for ten Haag to run his eye over some of the players tonight at rag trafford with a view to bringing a few in,they’d certainly do a hell of a lot better than the dross that was there ..

A little ammunition next time someone from the Independent or the Standard get clever about "sportswashing", or the golf for that matter.

"The UK-Russian newspaper proprietor Lord Evgeny Lebedev has joined the board of a non-profit enterprise created by the Saudi Government, holding his position alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – who, according to US intelligence services, personally approved the capturing and killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

The enterprise is called Hevolution – founded to research the science of anti-ageing, which is a preoccupation of many wealthy ‘philanthropists’."

They really believe they can live for ever.

cheers. That's very clear.
But totally wrong.
All these types of clauses can be against PL/FA regulations (if those bodies so provide) and they may be unenforceable but they are not illegal, which means against the law.
See also UEFA regs.
Ferran Torres has a buyout clause with Barca of 1 billion euros.

My understanding is that "Buy Out" clauses are illegal in the UK (i.e. player buys out his own contract to leave). Probably the best recent example of this was Neymar from Barca to PSG. Legally he paid the £222M himself... that PSG had given him that money is irrelevant. This is what is mandatory in Spain.

A "Release" clause (i.e. buying club meets a certain contractually agreed selling price) is allowed.

The two types are completely different.
A buy-out of a contract can never be "illegal" particularly if mutually agreed.

In fact it's the other way round. You have the right, in law, under various conditions to buy out a contract. If you have a loan, you can pay that off. If you have a phone or Internet contract, the provider can force you to buy it out if you want to terminate early.

In football a player can buy out his contract if he meets certain criteria. Under 28, they can buy it out after 3 years. Over 28 it's after 2 years.

Wembleys been used for concerts etc.

The final rounds are at wembley, so probably letting the grass recover a little.
I know there are concerts but the powers that be are trying to promote the game, Europe and world wide. Everything they do seems badly organised. Its as though the tournament is something they were forced into doing. Clearly they are way down the pecking order if Westlife can have the stadium before them.

Next up on talksport with Danny Baker.
Mo Salah's new contract at Liverpool!
Again?
And who the fcuk other than Dippers is remotely interested?
And even they must be bored with it.
Is Baker on there now ? Is his show sort of straight forward stuff or more irreverent like his old show on BBC ?

Gave up listening ages ago.

It’s nothing more than Talk United with other PL clubs thrown in now and again.
It is literally that. Was in the car this morning so thought I'd give if a few minutes, just endless interviews and name checking them They also kept insisting 77000 would be present yonight. Has the sty had some work done Never heard that many before

I was told some time ago that there were conditions attached before any Haaland "buy out clause" could be activated.
I took this with a pinch of salt until i read in a recent article that possibly there are indeed conditions attached.
So for what it's worth this is what i was told.
The "clause" only kicks in if either of one of two conditions are met.
1. City get relegated, or
2. City fail to make the Champions League on two successive years.
