His lack of technique and poor decision making, has made him a difficult player to love. I believe he has an extraordinary gift for getting himself on the end of goal scoring chances. If he had more composure and could kick a ball properly he would probably score 35 + league goals a season. He has played a big part in our success, so I thank him and wish him well.

Wow.
Sure you're not happy been a citizen?
Oh I am happy being a City fan, i was even a happy fan when in division 2, North stand season ticket holder, but pep doesn't always get everything right, if that makes me not a happy fan then fair enough

Strange move from Sterling’s side imo. From City’s perspective it’s a no brainer. £55 mil fee and around £15m saved in wages. Too much of a risk to lose £70m if he was to walk away on a free next summer.

The weird thing from Sterling’s side is that he has literally fluttered his eyelashes at Madrid for a number of years now. He even did an interview with a fuckin Madrid shirt draped over his shoulder and said it’s his dream to play there one day.

This move literally kills that dream. Not a chance are Madrid taking a 31 year old Sterling at the end of his Chelsea contract. Why he hasn’t just ran his contract down I’ll never know.

Anyway, best of luck to him (apart from against us obv). I think it’s the right time for him to move on personally.
Funny how he thought he had the pick of Europe’s elite and in the end only Chelsea were willing to take a punt on him.

Really? I rate Palmer quite highly. This isn‘t a criticism of your opinion, I’m just interested to know why you think this way.
I think he is a decent player, but he is not of the same quality of bernado, mahrez etc, I think he was not as good as jesus who we let go, Palmer had a good game against lower opposition in a cup game, he wasn't in the shake up for the big games, I know he was injured towards the back end of the season

Really weird for a guy who has statistically speaking been one of our best players ever and has never caused an ounce of trouble to receive so much general emotional apathy towards his imminent departure.

Sterling getting the same old sh*t on the comments section under the DM article about his move to Chelsea. Mainly from Liverpool fans. so I added this comment

All the best and thanks for the goals, trophies, and memories. And to all the haters, especially Liverpool fans, do you clowns think he's bothered about what you write about him? He plays football for a living. He will be on over £300k a week. And he will be moving back to London. He lives a life you jealous clowns can only dream of, and a life you will never live. CTID.

So you don’t know, no reason why you would, me neither. The coaches that see him every day might well though.

Not happy to see him go. I get the policy of letting them go if they want to go, but aren't we being too nice in situations like this? I see no compelling reasons as to why strengthen a domestic rival like this.

I would have liked to see him pair up with Haaland, as Sterling is obviously a different player when playing for England with a proper center forward by his side.

Stay positive pal.

They may well do, but doing it in training is completely different to doing it against world class players in a real game is different, I hope I am proved wrong amd he does do it, and none of us have really seen enough of him in big games to say, maybe Pep will play him more in big games next season, then we will see

45m policies could be 55m that’s the reason,or he sits and skulks around for another season, goes on loan in January then leaves for free next summer ! Better to cash in now

Fair enough. I agree he’s not at the same level as Bernardo or Mahrez, but he has a few years to catch up on them yet. Not being in the shake up for big games isn’t a surprise considering what’s in front of him. I personally think he’s an exciting and exceptional talent and have high hopes for him.

We shall see what happens, let’s all enjoy the ride anyway.

Signed him 7 years ago, won a shit load of trophies, lots of memories, good stats every season and selling him with less than 1 year left on his contract for a similar fee we signed him for.

There’s a feeling that this suits all parties.
He wants to be paid the same or similar to KDB and Haaland, yet in the business end of the last two seasons he’s on the bench more often than not for the really big games.

Having said all that we are also strengthening a rival, and he offers something to this squad that no one else does in terms of his qualities.

I’m a bit mixed on the news but hopefully we won’t miss him that much in a few months time

Dare I ask, does our team lack a bit of pace now given we’ve sold Jesus and Sterling?
