Going to get some hounding for this. But honestly, on last season's performances, if both were fit and available I'd start Ake ahead of Laporte.

No argument from me. Laporte wasn’t at his best last season and Ake got better and better as the season went on.

I agree though a serous profit could come from making a small profit on him and making getting in a very undervalued player in someone suggested someone who is supposed to be quality and going free not saying he is the correct player or the club would actually agree but it’s possible

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Laporte fan. I just dont think he was at his best last season. He’s had a few injury issues and I’m sure he’ll be back to his best if he gets an injury free run.

Having said that I am also a great admirer of Ake. I think he’s grossly underated by a lot of fans. I would like nothing more than to see both him and Laporte stay. I think between them they can more than adequately look after left CB and left back duties.

Kimpembe
Pau Torres

Kimpembe will never settle for 4th choice and hes leaving PSG because they couldnt agree on a salary so he wants a high salary ..

Pau Torres is the obvious choice

There are lots out there, Ake is a very decent player but nothing more for me.
