It was me who bumped this thread.

We don’t have as much wide pace as we’d ideally want. You want as many options in games as possible.

I was just thinking that he’d be a good alternative option. As I say like a plan D.

He wouldn’t expect to start and regardless of what some say, he does have some good qualities.

Someone wrote why go for him when we could buy X,Y,Z, which is a fair point, but the names mentioned all would want regular playing time and big costs in fee and wages.

If you are looking for a plan D option, Borges should probably be that, given we hardly ever need a plan B, let alone D.
