Chelsea still a big club, are now on their longest break without winning the title since 03, I'm just worried. They are not a shambles like United or Arsenal, if they make some smart signings this season we could see a title charge.

It's really a big gamble City have taken, would rather see him leave for free to Barca/Madrid.

For all his flaws he has a unique skillset that you could argue nobody else in our team possesses. I said yesterday he leaves a success story and I maintain that view.

But, and this is the bedrock of the whole transfer, I think we'll be fine without him. If I had a billion pound in the bank I'd confidently stake it on us finishing above Chelsea next season. It will be ourselves and Liverpool vying for top spot once again, of that I'm sure.

Totally agree on the first paragraph MB, but the fact is they are there, and so is Richarlison, you add Raz to that together with the shrewd signings they’ve already made & they won’t be very Spursy, only my opinion but they’ll finish above Chelsea next season….As for Chelsea, I can’t help feeling those targets you mentioned are agent links to grease the wheels, Chelsea are an easy target for this given they are looking to move a lot of players on, bring a fair few in and lastly they are under new ownership, out of the names mentioned they’ll sign 2

I feel like he disconnected from football in general years ago when he was made the spokesperson for anti racism. Hes got his head down and just played when it could have been tempting to jack it in or move abroad. For me he's said all he needs to with his feet on the pitch!

In no way do you think Grealish can get 200+ goals and assists for us though, that is being delusional and setting yourself up to be disappointed. He literally had less than 50 career goals and was joining us as a 25 year old that spent a large part of his career in lower leagues.

But the reality is that he doesn’t need to have sterling numbers to be an important member of this squad. Grealish can also be a very important member of the team without those numbers.

Are you talking about Serie A ? I clearly mentioned Premier League, he was the flop of the season with just 8 goals. He said he wanted to leave mid-season.

As of now Chelsea aren't better, but they are still making signings. Some players just kick on at the some point you can never predict. Did you think we were better in Pep's second season than first before the start ? Did anyone expect us to be Centurions ?

His producitivy drastically reduced when we started playing false 9 system, it took away his main strengths. You can all deny it but fact is he would have had an unreal link-up with Haaland, just like he does with Kane for nat'l team.

That's not a fact, it's your supposition. Stating it's a fact doesn't make it one.

He may not have time. Chelsea leave for the US this weekend, and Raheem is still on holiday.

The advantage Jesus had was that Brazil finished internationals a week before England, so he had an extra week to come back and sort everything before the start of pre season. Just like most of the rest of our internationals, Sterling will barely be back in the country long enough to complete the deal before he's on a plane.
 
Rarely get attached to any city players even Fernandinho Zab or even Sergio but the real attachment I have are the ones that come through our youth system SWP was the last one till foden now palmer and Mctear!

Presumably they'd have to sell at least 4 others to make way or are they playing the previous front players in defence given that they don't seem to possess one at the moment?
