Aaron Hickey

Been plenty of links to £50m transfers in the last few months. Real Madrid and us from memory. He has definitely increased in value since coming south.
Ill show my ass in Burton’s window if he goes to Real/City for £50 mil. Arsenal are stuck with an injury plagued left back on big wages!!

Quite possibly. He’s already made good career moves and this looks like another. He had done very well at Hearts but needed to play in a more technical
League as he himself developed physically. It says a lot for him to go to Bologna (especially during the pandemic), play out two full seasons, and be adaptable enough to give Mihajlović the luxury of using him in multiple positions. England will now be a different challenge but Frank is a great coach and should be able to get the best out of him.

Yes it is a very good move for him
For the price it's almost a nobrainer

Good signing for them
A bit weird they are going after another LB though, as I thought Rico Henry was one of their best players last season and he only recently signed a four year extension. Unless they plan to play Hickey on the right. Or they have had a bid for Henry from elsewhere
I mentioned him a while back as one to keep an eye on, good player

How’s he been for Brentford? I usually see Rico Henry (who I like) playing left back for them, not Hickey.

We are always looking to build for the future. In that regard, Hickey is amongst the most promising FBs in the world. We are not going to buy the likes of Rico Henry or Antonee Robinson, good players in their mid-twenties who will probably forever remain just that, good. With Hickey being just 20, Pep can obviously see a high ceiling, so a lot of room to improve and shape him into what he wants him to be.
