That was four years ago, talk about revisionism ! The last 3 yeats he's been average at best. I'll give you the Southampton winner and the mis hit away at Bournemouth but can we subtract the open goal misses in so many crucial games, e.g. Lyon in the CL, Liverpool in the 2016 final, Burnley, etc, etc. As for the winning more points than anybody in that title season you must be joking. It was the likes of Silva, KDB, Bernardo,Gundo, etc who literally laid those goals on plate for him. He didn't win us the league, just made a contribution, but not as big as those mentioned.Name a single game over the years he has been with us when he won us a big game v a top six side with a great goal out of nothing or creation for others.Theres no need to be personal just because others disagree with you ! As I said, he's been good player for us and I agree re his posional sense but personally I'm glad he's gone and think we will be better without him, if you don't mind me giving my opinion !
I replied to what you posted, you claimed he has never been a match winner.

You were chatting shit and got pulled up for it and you are still chatting shit.

The facts are he has scored 131 goals for this club are you seriously deluded to believe that they have never been crucial?

In Pep's career he is only second to Messi in the new modern term of goal involvements, I'll say that again MESSI, but peter.evans: thinks he has never been a match winner, misses open goals in crucial games and that is the end of the matter as far as he is concerned.

He was that shit last season he got 13 goals and 13 assists

Rejoice in his transfer to Chelsea, you must be fucking delighted.

I'll just leave this here for you to look at and take in.

Has been a brilliant signing for the money we paid for him , over 220 goals and assists in les than 350 games is a phenomenal record

but let’s face facts, the way the team plays has moved on in the last couple of years and he has been left behind and looks like he didn’t enjoy his football as much

i think being Englands main man at the Euros has also impacted him when he gets left out for city, he thinks he should be our main man but he’s well down the pecking order if he’s honest with himself

getting the money back we paid for him his excellent business

Also got a late winner at Huddersfield that season. Like the Bournemouth goal, there was a little bit of luck involved but he deserved that luck as he chased the ball down.
Not top 6 teams so they don't count apparently, despite those goals winning us the league by that single point, not a match winner.

Okay folks. Just spent a while deleting a few posts from this thread. It really doesn't make one bit of difference where a fan comes from. We all want what's best for the club, irrespective of what language we speak, or what hue our skin might be. So, let's just stick to the actual topic of the thread, please.
What if you’re from Leeds ;-)

I've never been his biggest fan, far from it, even at his best for us I always had a saying that everything fell down when it got to sterling.
Its been done to death on here his strengths and weakness!
But I can't deny his importance for us, his goal contributions have been brilliant, and there is an element of sadness to see him leave. We've certainly had our value from him.

I think more and more, teams are choosing to utilise the low block to defend against us, and this system of play really doesn't suit raz, he's not equipped with the ability to unpick the tight defence in a patient build up manner that we utilise.

So I think Raz sees this as a fresh start not only to get more game time at Chelsea, but to play in a system that will showcase his talent better (really more so that Chelsea will come up against the low block system much less than us, which will enable him to flourish).
So just a case of he was the right player for us for 4 or 5 years, but not so much the last 2 years.
Its the right move for him, for City and for Chelsea.
Thanks Raheem for some truly amazing moments, I wish you all the best

We have mugged Chelsea off here, he won't last 2 min at Chelsea

Sterling had great stats but when you dig abit deeper his performances and goalscoring record in arguably our 2 biggest games of the season Utd/Liverpool were shocking.
Yep

Think there are a lot of rose tinted assessments going on

Fair play to those that do

Didn't Chelsea sell Hazard for 130M with one yr left on his contract ?
Didn't that same club pay 60 mil for Jovic...and continue to pay massive wages to a semi retired Garreth Bale...hard to get that from the truly State owned club post COVID...their abject insanity in terms of spending has no bearing on good business...Chelsea basically found a sucker...BTW, Hazard was arguably the best player in the Prem at the time...Raz nowhere near that status...
