Nathan Ake

City have the same policy for basically everyone... it’s not based on Peps liking of them. They are obviously ok with letting Bernardo going if he got the proper offer. City offered sterling a new deal which was ok:ed by Pep.

There is nothing that suggests pep want Ake gone. All akes decision
Ake's decision?, what decision?

His parent club are happy for him to negotiate with Chelsea, if I was Ake I would not want to come back to us.

Ake will do as well as us out of the deal, I would imagine another nice signing on fee and wage increase.

At the end of the day it's a job to them, nothing more.

It was reported at the end of the season the club were happy for him to leave, and the biggest evidence was his appearances on the bench with a defensive injury crisis, again rumors he was carrying an injury, yet he played for his country days later.

A very ordinary signing for me, one I did not understand at the time and after two seasons of watching him one I still don't get, a possible 50m transfer is simply a get out of jail card.

Watching him for Bournemouth he always looked underwhelming, neat and tidy but any decent striker would love to play against him and more importantly for us, on the ball he is very ordinary.

Zero issue with your take on Ake as a player and signing.

It is your claim Pep wants him out I don't agree with, but that's your opinion and thanks for clarifying what you base it on, which for me is tenuous at best. Can't agree on everything.

If Pep wanted him to stay why would he be negotiating and agreeing personal terms with Chelsea?

Ake already publicly stated he was looking forward to another season with us, so someone is lying!

So, Pep wanted Ferran, Sterling, Jesus to leave too? Pep even sanctioned the extension for Sterling, but he still wanted him out? Make it make sense. Are you new with city current transfer policies?

Also, you don’t see why Ake would move to Chelsea 6 month before a World Cup?

Why is anyone lying all those things can be true. Pep would like him to stay, he has no issues about staying, but he's interested in what Chelsea have to offer and if we can get a fee and replacement we'll try and accomodate him. All said he might decide to stay and that's good too.

The club and Pep were more than happy for Ferran to leave, big profit and little if any loss to the squad.

Sterling was never going to renew and the club were reluctant to make an offer he could not turn down, so from what I see we have got 50m and a huge wage off the books for someone however good was going to walk for free next June.

Ake would leave for almost guaranteed game time at Chelsea, if he did not play for us with no CB's at the end of last season, what makes you think he will get game time this coming season?

Why does anyone look at any other job opportunity while in a job? Why do peoppe have LinkedIn, why do recruiters and agents exist? Chelsea approached him. If they don't tempt him, nkthing happens they move on. If they tempt him, the club wouldn't stand in his way, they then need to tempt the club. That is quite different to Pep trying to get rid of him.

no one said he’d be guaranteed anything. The point was you going around saying Pep “wanted” these players out is just factually incorrect. It’s not harder than that. It’s your own assumption.

Because deals like this take months, all parties knew the situation, if we received a suitable offer he could leave,

We are a superbly run club, we look after players even if we want them to leave, it helps long term.

So according to you Pep wants him to stay?

again if so, why has Ake agreed terms with Chelsea?

Pep wants him to stay, Ake wants to stay, if that's true why are Chelsea in the picture>? Your theory does not make sense.

You clearly are on some tantrum here. Ake even said a few weeks ago that he was staying and then Chelsea came along with better terms. It’s not rocket science. He himself could’ve stayed but there are better terms at Chelsea. It’s been widely reported that City want him to stay. You are going around saying Pep wants him out, which is just incorrect. Now chill.

Tantrum? are you taking the proverbial?

Ake is under contract so if Pep/City want him to stay why is he negotiating with Chelsea?

You need to understand what negotiations and leaving on good terms is about.

Sigh... you understand what personal preferences are? Is it really this hard to understand a situation where Ake would like both but prefers the opportunity to play more at his academy club?

It’s just back to it’s not black and white stay or go.

sterling and Torres wanted out and sterling in last year of his contract. Jesus wanted to leave for regular football. Ake didn’t ask to leave and has time in his contract. In fact a few weeks ago was saying he was happy and looking forward to a good season. But, we are happy for him to leave. If you can’t see the difference….

Torres didn't want out, not till Barcelona approached him and tempted him. He said as much, he said he was happy but an opportunity too good to miss came up. Ake sounds like he is the same, happy to be here, Chelsea have approached and tempted him and now the club are letting Chelsea come forward with an offer. Eric Garcia was the same with Barcelona, except they didn't come up withnan offer good enough, and same with Sane who was approached by Bayern. The exact same was claimed of Bernardo and Laporte last summer, the same will happen to lots of our players. We are currently doing it with Cucurella, did it with Phillips earlier and Alvarez in January.

The only reason to portray that as Pep or other managers not wanting players out is because you don't like the players.

Rarely deals like this take months, they can take a few weeks but they can also be done in a few days if they want. A player can be happy at aclub, Ake is, yet still be tempted when a opportunity pops up. Doesn't mean hes unhappy or that anyone particulary wants him to go.

So wait, Pep wants every single one of our players out? Because that applies to literally everyone, as he and both tixiki ferran have said many times before.

I understand the reality of a player deemed not up to standard by a manager.

A player who did not get game time despite Stones, Laporte , Dias and Walker all injured, a 36 year old with no legs playing as a makeshift CB in front of Mr Ake.

A world cup on the horizon and a hugely reliable ITK telling us on here that Ake was informed by the Dutch, he needs to be playing regularly to play in the World Cup.

That all adds up to player and club parting very amicably, saying all the right tings in public but leaving for the benefit of all parties.

sigh
