Nah no one could turn down Man City tbf one of the best teams in Europe , pep and champions league
 
We have other options like Raum and Sosa. Why do we only focus on Cucurella? Brighton knows we sold Zinchenko and now we have 0 left backs, so they think we have to buy left back. They will try to rob us. Selling Zinchenko before getting left back was not good idea. Bad business from the board.

Said it all along, Brighton’s model is a stepping stone club. Nothing wrong with it at all because it’ll get higher calibre players to their club with the promise of being able to leave.

Playing hardball with their prize asset wanting to go to the champions is risky and *might* put off future moves.

Even if Tap In is guessing (likely) then it’s an educated one. No disrespect to Brighton but if you’re Cucurella and City are after you, you want to go and test yourself in that team.

They deserve to set a high price given they took the risk last year but it’s all relative. Still think it’ll get done with us paying more than we wanted and Brighton getting less. The usual stuff.

Maybe the deal is already done and what we are witnessing now is theatre, so Brighton can find a replacement. I guess I trust our board and executives for some strange reason.

Cucurella’s main agent - Aleix Pique also following both Man City and CityXtra on Instagram. The only premier league club he follows other than City is Brighton.

It probably doesn’t mean much but it’s something

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the bid talk in the last 24 hours is simply posturing on the Brighton end. “They offered £30m we laughed at them but Marc’s head was turned so we settled at £45m with add ons…”

I dont think so. All news from reliable sources said there is a 20 m pounds difference between our offer and their demands.

It certainly means something. Seems plausible to think personal terms are all squared away and they’re expecting the clubs to find an agreement.
