Amazing how we have all these Brighton fans that seem to know Bloom personally post on here. Such a small world.
Hehe. No, but we know how he works! You showed your hand way too early, the fact that you desperately want a left back won’t be helping you. Remember Bloom is a poker player and quite frankly, he’s holding all the aces on this one. I wish you all the best whatever the outcome.

Bloom has NEVER put a price tag on the lad. Fact. Why? Because he’s not for sale! It will take an offer north of £50m for him to consider it. Fact. He won’t budge on that, as proven by the White sale last year. You obviously rate him highly, otherwise you wouldn’t be in for him, so just keep bidding until you hit Blooms figure, a figure I might add that no one knows except him. I guess it boils down to just how much you want him.

As for the £30m bid, I for one don’t look at it as derisory because you just don’t know how much Bloom wants!

You may get your man, but it will be on Blooms terms, not yours. He’s a tough negotiator, just ask Arsenal. But you’ll be getting one hell of a player if you do. As for the player himself? He’s a true pro, so no chance of him downing tools.

Have a great day.

Because you might get to £50m+ We haven't given you a figure remember.
Well conversely again, why shouldn't City stick to £30m, because Brighton might drop it to our opening valuation?

Dude, you're just being naive. City want Cucu. Cucu wants City. Brighton know selling their best players at a profit is their business model.

There's no guarantee an offer like this will ever be made for Cucu again, so are you seriously prepared to cling on to a pissed off player whilst you play Monopoly with his career?

Dya really think it'll end well & Cucu will remain a happy bunny?

Also, have Brighton started scouting possible LB replacements yet?

Please don’t encourage him

Your player wants to leave you for City. It's the cold hard fact of the matter no matter how much you don't want to accept it.

If you stop him after a reasonable £40m - £43m plus add-ons bid has gone in, you'll have trouble on your hands.

There's no guarantees for Cucu that a bid like this will ever be made for him again. What happens if he's bang average this coming season?

God forbid, but what happens if he gets a bad injury?

If he has another good season, another major club will also bid for him & you'll be on someone else's forum trying to fend off their interest next summer.

If my Mrs wanted to leave me for someone else, I wouldn't lower myself begging her to stay, & City have the same attitude with our players. It's not a good look fella... \0/

City want Cucu. Cucu wants City. Why've you got a problem with that? Is it merely the money offered? If so, tell Bloom to stay at the negotiating table & hammer out a deal we can all swallow & then move on to players who actually want to be at The Amex Stadium.

You're better than the desperation you're showing...
We haven't got a problem with Cucurella going to city. Right from the start Cucurella stated he couldn't turn you down. We stated we wouldn't stand in his way as long as we get a reasonable fee. You as of yet have not offered a reasonable fee, even by half the people on here as the seem to suggest a fee of around 40m is reasonable.

So what are we meant to do as a club with a player we don't want to sell and as of yet not had a reasonable offer.

Surely its you lot that should get you fingers out After all their message yesterday was lets get this done while wearing a t shirt with MC on it not BHAFC.

Its not naive. If you want Cucurella for £30m come back in 3 years when he has season left on his contact.

This isn’t a Harry Kane situation. Why? Because Cucurellas agent is one of smartest agents in Spain. When ever Cucurella has wanted a move he’s got him that move. Via underhanded tactics, or just getting the selling club to down their price. He’s a smart man Aleix pique he’s also the agent to next upcoming crop of young players in La masia. nothing compared to Harry Kanes agent

It feels like I got band from this thread for a few minuets.

Let me make one thing perfectly clea.
I wouldn't want Man City owner, Liverpool Owners Chelsea owners Tottenham, Palace, Forest owners. I wouldn't want any owner in the universe, because we have Tony Bloom.

He has taken us from a relegation battle in league 1 to 9th in the Prem , built a stadium, training ground that we are proud of. An academy thats starting to produce and attract young players fit for a Prem team, built ascouting system that can find value players that we can sell for a profit.

Made the womens team one of the best in the country with an academy that has the highest ranking it can get, built a training ground attached to the mens that is ranked as good as any femail training ground.

Just as importantly he is a Brighton fan, like me, he was born and bread in Brighton like me, he was most likely picked on for being a Brighton fan like me. He gets being a Brighton fan. Why would I want anyone else in exisistance when we have him.

We won the lottery when he took over Brighton, and you know what, all that and the likely hood is we will never win a trophy in my lifetime.
I don't think many on here would swap our owner for Tony Bloom, so we are all happy.

Do you guys not have your own forum instead of taking over this one? Getting a bit tedious now all repeating the same shit
Hehe. I won’t be taking up too much of your time like some, I promise. Just giving you an honest appraisal of the situation. :)

There's a risk in that strategy:

maybe we are playing the 'time' card, and if you don't move you could be in trouble to sign a proper replacement in case we meet your gambler's price late in the window.

We HAVE cover in our squad or might have a late alternative waiting for us.

Anyway, Brighton sticking out their neck, I like that.
Hope we sign Cucu, if not we'll move on.

Great day for you as well!
We have cover aswell. Who do you think played there before last season.

So it's about the money then? :-|

We'll get our fingers out, when you stop profiteering. We'll probably increase our bid to £40m if Bloom Drop his asking price to £40m.

You tell Bloom & I'll have a word in Txiki's shell like. Deal? :-/

Never say never. I would have said the same when Wycombe Wanderers were doing the league double over us and Lawrie Sanchez was dancing on our pitch doing his David Pleat impression.
If I ignore the game the other season where you kicked us off the park, I have nothing against Brighton.

Brighton fans thinking they have some pull. No disrespect but why wouldn't any player want to play for a champions league club.
Agreed. But the cold hard fact is that if you don’t meet Blooms valuation, you just won’t get him. On that note, I’ll bid you good luck and good day.
