I don’t think I did. There was a report on the BBC that clearly said if you pay by DD, then it would be knocked off your bill. It was on Friday morning actually (so I did make an error saying it was yesterday :) )

I wonder if people start to eat and drink at home to off set costs which will impact the leisure industry. That said, enjoying drinks in a warm pub might be cheaper than staying at home with the heating on. I imagine holidays might be sacrificed as well.

We’re already seeing it.

I work in the events industry and ticket sales for gigs etc are at rock bottom across the board.

Summer is always low but some of the sales figures, right from tiny gig venues through to big arena shows are frightening.
