Pep behind the scenes must get pissed off at times and with the sales we have done this year he should have been handed his 3 main targets and having secured 2 quickly and at amazing prices Cucurella should be done as well! Not like we havent paid £50m for a full back before??

How could they have handled it better in your opinion?

Yea, Cucurella happy to go to Chelsea, just wants get out of Brighton

Lb option of Cancelo /Ake and JWE isn't great for where we want to be.

Ake has an average injury record. Jwe is raw and hasn't been fit regularly over thr last years.

Being positive, can only assume city have someone lined up

hope so mate but we need an actual top quality LB and Cucurella seemed to fit us like a glove?

Hopefully someone really quick. It's not looking good going into the season with 2 FBs

It perhaps feels like there is more moaners than not but it's probably the case that whingers are more likely to post; particularly on Twitter, which I use sparingly. Even so, the level of it when the team has won 4 of the last 5 Premier League titles and set record after record is sad.

Our club isn't perfect but it is quite possibly the best run football club in the world and one of the best in any sport.

If we do not sign a left back, we are taking a big risk but one that could be corrected in January. However, at this stage, no evidence that I know of exists to show that City do not have alternative targets.

Yes, I remember this time last year when Kane didn't happen posters saying we'd struggle for top 4 and chelsea and united had recruited better than us. Like last year we'll do something else like last year we'll be fine.

No idea as I don't do Twitter but seeing as nobody in this forum posted anything about it until after Sky released it makes me think it wasn't well known or even known at all until then...?

At the end of the day the lad has done his bit to get a move to us. It’s our side which has let him down if anything.

Now Chelsea have come in and they value him a lot higher than we do.

It will be interesting to see the final fee for him though. If it is a flat £50 million I think we could come to regret missing out of him.

He would do that if he submitted a transfer request, not because he wants to leave Brighton, but because he wants to join City. He would do that if he wants to play in the best team in the country, for possibly the best manager there's ever been (who happens to be the same nationality as him and used to manage the club he started off at).

If he holds out for us, he'll end up with us. If he can't be bothered with the hassle, he'll just go and join Chelsea.
