is that all you can do, copy and paste the same irrelevant comment over and over again? And still win the league for us 4 out of 5.
Calm down.
not in a million yearsHe might turn down Chelsea which could force Brighron back into negotians with City.
Think he did his ACL past season, he's just started training but a ways off still yet. What happened to Ben Chilwell
A new challenger arrives
He would be in the Ukraine team even with him sitting on our bench, so that's irrelevant.
I understand he wants to be playing week in week out, so he should, he is too good to be getting splinters, but he leaves when it suits us, IE when a replacement is in.
If as reported he dreams of playing for Pep and really wanted City, it would be the perfect way to empathise his point by saying No to Chelseanot in a million years
We have seen many times when people do have the sources deals still fall through and they get castigated for this. I am not talking about WUMs, only those that have proved credibility previouslyNo. What happens is people with no real info bang on as if they know for sure what's going on by pretending they have a 'source'. When pulled up on this they flounce around and spit their dummies out.
All of those players - bar probably Ronaldo and maybe Maguire - would've been outstanding at City.
We are incredibly well run but this deal and the Kane situation last year makes me think sometimes we do some very strange things.
Do you think we always get it right? And we never make errors?
Obviously it would not affect Brighton, I don't give two shits about Brighton but I care when the season starts we have 2 FB's available. It makes zero difference. Brighton were hardly going to drop the fee by £10 million just because we still had Zinchenko on our books.
The lad was offered a huge wage increase and the opportunity for regular football at a top 6 club. He’s been an excellent player for us and I’m glad City didn’t stand in his way or make things difficult for him.
The only reason we haven’t signed Cucurella is due to City’s valuation of him. The club obviously have the cash, value the player and need a LB. But they have decided not to meet Brighton’s asking price.
Personally, I don’t think this deal has fallen through over a £50 million fee. After all, £18 million + the Zinchenko fee is not a ridiculous sum for a clear upgrade at LB.
However, I think Brighton are demanding a lot more than £50 million. I would not be surprised in the slightest if Chelsea pay £40/45 million plus a young player valued at £20/15 million for Cucurella, which would take the overall fee up to £60 million.
Excellent post..Just do not understand this situation at all.. it makes no sense..Raheem gone ,Jesus gone, Zin gone..squabbling over a relatively small sum... do not understand it at all..but after Stoke, beating the rags in the semi..never dreamed of how far we have come...support City.. CTID.How football works......
Brighton value Cucurella at £50M.
We don't think he is worth £50M and will not pay it.
Another team thinks he is worth £50M and are willing to pay it.
Therefore, Brighton are right. Cucurella's value is £50M!
It's not rocket science. It's a market - demand/supply/price
Taking some moral high ground doesn't gain us anything - doesn't get us the target player that Pep wants.
After letting Sterling go to Chelsea, this feels like gifting them another top class player.
Our club is trying to raise its profile positively on the world stage. This sort of approach, like last summer with Kane, risks making us look like amateurs.
There is that. It’s a bit baffling that we seem prepared to pay more than some players are ‘worth’ (I know that’s subjective) but won’t go the extra mile for others. I can understand clubs trying it on, we can’t pretend Grealish didn’t happen. You can tell we’re in final offer mode for this player. You can only assume he isn’t as important to the management as the fans.Yeah, i think we really wanted this kid.
Seems weird we're worrying about 5-10m if that's what it is, when you think how much we've paid/wasted on some other players
Obviously it would not affect Brighton, I don't give two shits about Brighton but I care when the season starts we have 2 FB's available
Wouldn't that stop you posting too?Always think transfer subforum should be gated and need atleast one year probation before being granted to access this subforum.
Will improve the forum tremendously and remove the trolls.
Change Chelsea with City and he said excalty the same thing word for word last week
People saying bcos we signed Haaland Txixi can't be criticised.
By not signing a decent Leftback the good work of getting one of the best young talents in the world will soon become undone. We will get found out later in the season when we've got a game every 3 days and we dont have the squad to compete.
