Remember the feeding frenzy on here a couple of weeks back? My, how we laughed.
Not sure we need to bicker between ourselves on the Colwill transfer.colwill's not 20mil, he's 15mil and no one reported buyback clause.
Really interesting to see to see how the remaining transfer window days pan out
Do we get an alternative LB of the required standard
They don’t panic but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a couple of alternatives lined up. I pretty sure they will.Probably not. The club doesn't tend to panic buy and would rather wait a season.
Pep also seemingly wanting an ever smaller group of players to choose from.
It does mean, with the inevitable injuries in defence, that the squad will be stretched thin this season.
Going into the season , world cup season no less, with 2 FB is disastrous. More so since we had a great backup who could play there and we sold him. Hopefully they get someone. Fingers crossedProbably not. The club doesn't tend to panic buy and would rather wait a season.

I've never heard of this player let alone seen him play, and yet with a name like Destiny Udodgie I'd swerve this player like the plague, I can see the media already coming up with quips about his name when he F's up for the umteenth time.If we're meant to buy him we're meant to buy him...
SosaAre there any senior (not Gomez) left backs we're actually being heavily linked with?
It seems like, as we did last season, we've missed out on our top target and decided we aren't going to bother now.
Maybe you could explain why you disagreeAgreed with you until you said "we had a great backup who could play there"

Well it's not over . You might get your exciting player.Whoever we get at leftback now, I hope they are half as good as Cucurella, because there’s no question Chelsea just strengthen their defense - a lot. Cucurella and Koulibaly are two top top signings. Another top centreback and Reece and one could argue they have a lot better defense than we have. And a rocksolid defense was the key difference between us and Chelsea when they won the CL final.
I’m disappointed we paid 50m for Mendy who was a stupid fck and slow as a freight train, but not manage to pay 50m+ for Cucurella who’s (for me atleast), the most exciting leftback I have seen in years, who would have been perfect for Guardiola.
I’m really not sure we made the right call here but it is what it is.
Agree but my point was he is better than having no backup in that position. He was tested and played important games for us in that position. there were a few matches when he played a big part in our wins. I have no problem with zinchenko's transfer as long as we get a LBWe needed a left back when Zin played left back in truth. Pros, Nice lad, didn`t cause us a problem, Not bad when dropping in and supplementing the midfield while playing at left back.
Cons not strong enough, not fast enough. Struggled to get to the by-line to get a cross in and not great at defense.
I always wanted him to succeed, he just never reach a level

Good.. let them face us with complacency and see how it ends. I think we‘lol surprise a few this season, including our own.To be honest, people who are not City fans who I know, literally say City will win the league as Haaland will score a hatful against the lower / mid table teams.
But they did say they are not as scared of the team as whole like they have been for previous seasons. Grealish and Mahrez don't really scare them, also that they are happy when Cancelo plays as their confident that their wingers can just pass him comfortably if they overload the left thought that we were more secure when Zinchenko played.
That makes it sound like they think Cancelo hasn’t played left back before, not remebering he played most of last season there. We need a left back for cover and certain games and we’ll get one. For the majority of games though Cancelo would be fine.To be honest, people who are not City fans who I know, literally say City will win the league as Haaland will score a hatful against the lower / mid table teams.
