Maybe, there was when Virgin ran the service aswel wasn't there.I bet there would be more than one train an hour to London if it was nationalised.
And it feels more and more like it’s actually been intentionally fucked, rather than just being fucked by circumstance..This country is fucked.
I think that’s all fair comment, mate.

I use(d) virgin the other way for City games from MK, and if booked enough ahead, you could often get return for under £30, and I often upgraded to first class, there haven't been any discounted tickets since the start of covid. Full price "anytime" tickets are a joke, since fans returned to football I can count on one hand the number of times I've used Avanti, and nearly every train has been delayed. We could pick 'n choose the best time and two returns with railcards came in at £150 on Virgin. A couple of months ago I checked Avanti and they wanted t'other side of £450. First class, naturally!
There was, but they’re not running it anymore, which is sort of the point. Why leave it to chance?Maybe, there was when Virgin ran the service aswel wasn't there.
I'm not bothered either way, as long as the service is good. But I do kind of agree that public monopolies shouldn't be privatised. There was, but they’re not running it anymore, which is sort of the point. Why leave it to chance?
Don't give a fuck, working class people like myself can't afford trains.
It's been privatised for years, this problem isn't due to privatisation no matter how hard you want it to be.
