I bumped into Bernie and his missus (who is even more stunning in the flesh) last Wednesday evening outside Piccadilly on Station Approach, and there were a bunch of spice heads hanging about outside the Greggs up there - the whole scene did make me feel for them both a touch, when they’ve got the pick of European cities to live in and that’s their experience of Manchester.

Did also make me question why the fuck he insists on living in town when he could be out in Cheshire somewhere away from all the horrors of the city centre.

Burying your head in the sand doesn't stop it being clear that Bernardo would prefer a move to Barca or PSG if possible, but that he's a model professional who will also stay & perform if a move doesn't materialise.

On the face of it, it looks cheap. It would not surprise me if the club and Bernardo agreed a realistic fee for him to go considering he wanted out last season. Maybe he was told to knuckle down and we would sell him this summer. Otherwise, our pants have been pulled down.

Replacement needed. It don’t have to be like for like. If we continue this season without a lb and a Bernie replacement we might struggle.
