Tony Coton, thought he was brilliant when he played for us.
Shocking if the story about Swales stopping him picking up deserved England cap(s) to avoid paying Watford add ons is true. TC should definitely have been a contender for England.Tony Coton, thought he was brilliant when he played for us.

Wow, I didn't know that, outrageous if true,!Shocking if the story about Swales stopping him picking up deserved England cap(s) to avoid paying Watford add ons is true. TC should definitely have been a contender for England.
Went to Chelsea from us and had later stints with QPR and Spurs, a classy player though, remember his diving header in the Arthur Albiston derby and a headed winner v Liverpool which was one of those 'how did we win that' gamesI used to love watching Clive Wilson in a City shirt. Thought he was one of those players that always appeared to have more time on the ball than most. Played with his head up,and was a very “silky”styled type of player. Ridiculous decision to sell him,… to Spurs, if memory serves,.. wher he unfortunately had a very suc career.

a little more respect for Neil Mcnab obviously i agree with me first favourite player for City hence the name, remember sat in the albert before a home match in the 80’s and Saint & Greavsey was on the tele & in the opening sequence of the show it showed a typical robust challenge from Neil that would be an instant red nowerdays & the whole pub cheered it as if we’d scored, i sat there grinning like a cheshire cat because he was already my footballing hero but that was the cherry on top of the cake.Who do you think is the most underrated city player?
I always though Neil Mcnab was a great little player who didnt get enough credit,
Also a mention for, Gary Owen, wonderful player who should never have been sold when he was.
GazBaz was class, when we signed him i was buzzing beyond beliefGareth Barry in the last decade, wonderful, class act.
I never realized how good he was until he pulled on our shirt, I think it was us or the dippers when he left Villa, I now understand why that vermin was gutted when he turned them down.GazBaz was class, when we signed him i was buzzing beyond belief
The fact he has the record for most PL appearances shows how good he was. A very important part of our early recent successI never realized how good he was until he pulled on our shirt, I think it was us or the dippers when he left Villa, I now understand why that vermin was gutted when he turned them down.
spot on he was a rolls royce, they obviously wanted to pair him with slippy G which to be fair would’ve been an exceptional centre midfield as they both complement each other, but luckily enough we got him to our placeI never realized how good he was until he pulled on our shirt, I think it was us or the dippers when he left Villa, I now understand why that vermin was gutted when he turned them down.
And he did it without fuss and in such a class way, never a problem on or off the field although he was a bit of a lad apparently. The fact he has the record for most PL appearances shows how good he was. A very important part of our early recent success
What, the Tony Booth who was in "Till Death Do Us Part" ("Scouse git") and the father of Cherie Blair?Alan Oakes, Glynn Pardow, Neil Young, Gerard Wilkins Richard Dunn and Tony Booth deserve a mention
