The man has gone awol, not a peep while the country goes to shit
Have an opinion at leastwhat do you think he can do?
Exactly. He’s there to hold the government to account and Parliament isn’t sitting. The best he can do is get front and central in the media but in reality what’s the point when we’re so far from an election and any points that register with the electorate will be long forgotten within a week. Not sure what people expect him to do.what do you think he can do?
Any half decent idea will be stolen by the Tories too.Exactly. He’s there to hold the government to account and Parliament isn’t sitting. Yep. They’ve got form for that.Any half decent idea will be stolen by the Tories too.

Not fundamenta. Reform of the system and dismantling the free market butchering of all we hold dear.Yep. They’ve got form for that.
In 1974 parliament was recalled automatically to deal with rhe energy crisis at the request of both leaders.
If one cannot be arsed while he has a mini end on PM reign jolly, the least the opposition leader can do is demand a recall to sort out the shitshow that is fastly coming to the people in the winter.
Not sit on his hands because there is no political gain or electioneering to be done, they are servants of the people after all.
Isn't it about attacking the issues of the day and providing a coherent alternative?you mean like he did in Dec?

I am not a fan of his - he is on holiday like Johnson too and thus failing BUT we are mid-term and in reality his fight is not with the Tories its with the r/w press who misreport and misdirect away from the Tories and Labour struggle to get some bandwidth. Labour needs to stop in-fighting and concentrating its time effort and resources on getting a GE campaign together. I'd prefer a new leader but at the moment that is not to be - however again with a new leader in mind its hard for Starmer and Labour to attack when they don't know who to attack yet
No need for the tribalism it's ok to say they're shit. No need to sound like a rag defending their management structure.yeah mate 3 days ago Labour were calling for an emergency budget to address the cost of living crisis and got nowhere because the Tories have a huge majority - if you think thats sitting on their hands then thats up to you but I see it as you not keeping up.

That was rachel reeves who criticised the tories, and said they refused a recall then spent most of her interview talking about the leadership contest, Starmer has not been heard on the subject for a while, there has been no official parliamentry request in writing as far as I know for a recall and it is not a one time thing that needs to be asked, there should be sustained pressure on the government not a few tweets and soundbites.yeah mate 3 days ago Labour were calling for an emergency budget to address the cost of living crisis and got nowhere because the Tories have a huge majority - if you think thats sitting on their hands then thats up to you but I see it as you not keeping up.

People are going to be a crisis point very very soon, normal politics is out the window, and all MPs duty would be to be i parliament finding a unilateral solution.
After all if there was a crisis in my workplace we would be all hands on deck and even working days off to sort it, it is only fair to expect the nations political class to do the same amd the opposition leader to lead the call if the PM cannot be arsed
I agree. He’s watching the Tories implode all by themselves.
