We don't know what level he's at yet, but we play enough games in a season where we completely dominate the opposition that a LB who can't defend isn't going to be an issue and you look at all the assist clips from the past 2 years and there's a little bit of magic in his delivery that could be really special.

Will be interesting to see how he does, he was a very highly rated attacking mid when he was younger if i remember right but seems things didnt work out and has ended up at LB. For how we play maybe some of that technical ability will shine through, just hope he can defend a bit too.

Yeah, that sounds like he'll be loaned if we sign another left-back e.g. Guerreiro.

This appears to be the most sensible option, giving the club a chance to fully assess his abilities and provide a useful option depending upon the quality of the opposition.

Off to Marseille on loan it looks like. He impressed in Ligue 1 last year so if he has another good year then he will be back next summer to seriously challenge Walker imo.

Good, that's what I was hoping for!

He's positionally flexible enough, and young enough, that we can just keep him regardless of Guerreiro/Lodi and use him as a utility player.

Presumably he's not going to the world cup, so he'll get a month for Pep to work with him in the middle of the season and be much more rested than the rest of the squad when they get back.
