He needs to be on the RHS. Constantly forced to drag shots across the face of the goal and looks completely rushed in the final third. Cancelo cutting inside forces him way wide where he can’t offer his quality. That’s a relationship that has never meshed. Throw Bernardo out on that wing and bring Grealish and Foden over to the right where they are afforded more space centrally. I hope Josep sees the issues with Foden out there sooner rather than later.

Well I could go off on one about reactionary dickheads feeling the need to act like drama queens every time the latest scapegoat doesn't put in a 7+/10 performance and micro-analysing every perceived mistake and not having the mental capacity to differentiate between form and class but I'm not sure they deserve more than one syllable.

Now your getting the hang of it.
So this form/class malarkey your talking about, is it OK to just have one of them most of the time? As the player in question has no doubt the tools to have a lot of class, but form has been pretty poor for a while(not just this season) and he sits on the edge of games offering glimpses of what we could have far to often.

Some of our fanbase’s reaction to Foden this season has been fucking disgraceful.
That pass wasn’t as simple as people are making out. Had he played it forward the keeper would have picked it up, had he cut it back the defender blocks it easily.
His overall game today wasn’t terrible by any stretch.
Wasn’t fantastic either but the overreactions to him are becoming a bit tiresome.
Is this the same fanbase that still slags Sterling off even though he has left, Foden was poor today

Please wait until the emotion has gone before saying too much about the finest academy talent we have produced - a four time league winner who is widely recognised as the best young player in world football, along with Erling.

He was poor but the guy isn't a winger and never was. He's done brilliantly considering he was shoehorned out wide because Sterling was so average the last two years. He's an attacking midfielder who thrives in the half spaces. Pep clearly doesn't think he's ready to play there so idk what the answer is currently. Maybe a few games coming off the bench.
