The first concert David Bowie went to was Sid Barrett era Pink Floyd and he and David Gilmour were lifelong friends upto Bowies death.

Lemmy of Motorhead was a massive Beatles fan. Before Motorhead he was in Hawkwind, and prior to that in The Rockin Vicars. Listen to Dandy by the Rockin Vicars. It is so Beatles inspired.

Scarily, the guy with the flames all around his head and legs, guitarist Steve Gaines, was alongside Ronnie killed in it. (As was his sister Cassie Gaines, and tour manager Dean Kilpatrick)

The cover was understandably withdrawn after the crash.

Mitch Mitchell, the drummer with the Jimi Hedrix Experience, did an ad for Jubbly (as in the original 'Lovely Jubbly') as a youngster in the early 60s. When he became famous with Hendrix Jubbly re-ran the ad for a while.

Was left handed,but learned to play right handed,makes him even more remarkable.

Jimi Hendrix was left-handed and at the time he started to play the guitar, he didn't have a left handed one, so he strung his guitar upside down. Even when he became famous he kept playing on his reverted guitar.

Albert King was also left-handed, but played right handed guitars flipped over upside down.
