It's going to be hammer and tongues and hopefully we come out top, 7-6.

It will be interesting to see how Pep counters Son and Kate attacks into the spaces we've been leaving at the back so far this season. Everything else we can beat them on.
 
I think Spurs will end up as our closest rivals these season. Conte usually has one big season before imploding and I think this season will be their best under him. They finished last season strongly, they play Conte’s way, they’ve backed Conte in the market and they appear to be fairly settled.

That said I hope the head to head matches don’t make much of a difference as I expect Spurs to cause us problems. They are well set up to play us, they defend well and counter effectively. Between Kane playing as a deep 10 and Son, Kulusevski and Richarlison they have players who can cause us real problems.

The test for Pep is how to set us up against a counter attacking side without Walker. If we can solve that and be in any way clinical we will win. It’s worth noting that despite having Haaland we are still not taking the right options in and around the opposition box so we need improve on that, once we do we’ll be pretty frightening.

I don't, they've looked shite to me. Don't know how they've ground out some of the results. They tend to have quite a lot of luck
 
I’d say Pep benching Ake the other night was to give the Dias-Akanji partnership an easy game to develop an understanding ahead of some much tougher fixtures coming up.

Given how solid they looked - and knowing how Pep loves a settled partnership at CB - I’d imagine he’ll stick with these two for the next few games.

Personally I’d play Ake at LB against the tougher teams, and continue Gomez’s development in the more straightforward home games.

Yep, he just gets taken for a walk in to midfield a little too easily against Kane and Son.

Eric did give us payback in the League Cup final with his goal, but he could easily have been sent off that day for a second yellow also?

Ruben hasn't been much better against them, not having Walker this weekend for his recovery pace would be a big blow.

Wonder if we might seen Akanji alongside Dias, if Walker makes it?

I think spuds need to worry about us and not the other way round.
Haaland is the difference between the current City side and sides we have fielded against them previously.
A comfortable win 3-0 or 3-1 for City. Haaland to score 2.
 
It's one of the fixtures I look for at the start of the season and kind of circle it as one to be weary of.

I'd love for us to get an early goal, within the first 15 mins, as it would mean they have to change their game plan of low block/counter. The longer the game stays 0-0, the more they will believe.

That said, I'm saying 2-0 City.

We go one up early they won’t change a thing because a draw is fine get to 2 nil then they may change
