I’ve read articles in the past that suggest this but I think protocol has been amended. I don’t think there’s any requirement for sport to stop anymore.

I would say if a game falls On a significant day like the funeral it would be cancelled. Just completely unprecedented times

She has always been the picture of health till Phillip passed away. I'm really shocked today despite her age.

It's not really surprising that the Queen's health has taken a turn for the worse. After all she's just been visited by the ghost of Christmas past and the Ghost of Christmas future over the last couple of days.

I know someone who works in a government agency and when Prince Phillip died there was a codeword passed around all agencies and departments and they had to prepare for the eventual announcement - he probably passed away at least a week or more before the official announcement.

If the Queen has passed the it was sudden and not expected. That with there being no official update suggests the worst.
