He was good at corners? How dairy. He was great at corners.
In between his goals he's like Monty Python's parrot.. well, he is a 'Norwegian Blue' after all! This is now a regular weekly thing with him , at HT they were highlighting that Erling had the least touches out of everyone , In my 50 years of watching football I have never ever seen the media highlight how many touches the likes of shearer , lineker , Henry ect had , this would NEVER be mentioned if he was playing for the rags or scousers
And and and Gerry Creaney had very few touches in his entire City career. The only time Gerd Muller touched the ball was to put it into the net and almost all his goals were scored from inside the 6 yard box. I guess that made him shit according the the rag/dipper media of today.
Then again he only scored 449 goals in 484 German league games and 68 goals in 62 international games for Germany.
I think without doubt they would actually spin it in a positive light and say it was a good thing and a mark of a true world class finisher/striker.This is now a regular weekly thing with him , at HT they were highlighting that Erling had the least touches out of everyone , In my 50 years of watching football I have never ever seen the media highlight how many touches the likes of shearer , lineker , Henry ect had , this would NEVER be mentioned if he was playing for the rags or scousers
Let’s face it, it doesn’t really matter how many times he touches the ball. The only thing that counts is the number of goals he scores. Given the opportunity, which club wouldn’t want to sign him.
There was a lot written last season about Lukaku having just 7 touches in a game, which I believe was a record low. if you google "Lukaku 7 touches" you'll see just about every paper and football site in the country had articles.
To be expected from rag central based in salfordUp to and including last night's matches the BBC websites live text had just been pared down, succinct and factual accounts of the progress in each game, presumably all part of the austere tone during the period of mourning.
Now the rags are playing the BBC have suddenly reverted back to full text commentary with emotive descriptions, fans comments and opinion etc
They have to do something to make that competition sound interestingUp to and including last night's matches the BBC websites live text had just been pared down, succinct and factual accounts of the progress in each game, presumably all part of the austere tone during the period of mourning.

The consensus of press reports is that Haaland is shit, till he scores. An example from the Grauniad:

Guardiola has found his most interesting Manchester City yet thanks to Haaland | Jonathan Liew
The Norwegian’s influence sometimes looked lacking against Dortmund but his patience again proved devastatingwww.theguardian.com
He's confusing the chuff out of them. They all seem to be oblivious of the fact he ties down two defenders most of the time. Wonderful.
Interestingly, the use of the term 'goalhanger' that I've noticed for the first time in several recent media discussions is something which definitely has a negative connotation. If you read my reply to the previous post, I could write exactly the same thing here. That article could just as easily be viewed as a positive one or a negative one depending on your perception and expectation.
Not clicking on that but the expert sports reporter if it names a writer could do worse than thinking a little out of the box (hehe) and reading the @bluenova post in the previous page. The consensus of press reports is that Haaland is shit, till he scores. An example from the Grauniad:
