Liverpools season so far is reminding me of United last year

The games they did win they were lucky to (with the exception of Bournemouth)

Who cares? No one ever gets sent off for time wasting. It’s such a waste of energy to even think about things like that.

No one might get sent off for time wasting but sitting on a yellow card for over half the game can certainly have an effect on a player. The guy in question did in fact get hooked in the second half, which also may have been at least part related to the booking.

Did it affect the result of the game?

They are 7 points behind. They were 14 points last year at one point with 2 games in hand
True, but that was more due to our long winning streak than them being bad. We haven’t even gone on a run yet and there is already a significant gap. They just don’t look they have the bodies in midfield to make a run at the title this year.

Dippers next league game is away at Arsenal and they play Rangers before that.
We might be in the weird place of wanting them to get a result against the team that are starting to look like genuine contenders this season.
Nah. Up the Arse.

That you said nobody cares that a player got booked for time wasting as they’re never going to get sent off for it. My point is that plenty of people would care if the player went on to pick up a second yellow for something else.
Indeed. It happens very rarely. Which means that it really is a trivial point that fans get worked up far more than they should.

Especially when not in the ground trying to influence a referee‘s decision.

What good does bemoaning an opposition player getting booked for time-wasting for a team not playing us on a city football forum do?

It’s 100% designed to try to show we are refereed differently.

Whilst that may be true to a certain effect, he was never getting sent off for it, so is pretty moot.

Well, here's an appropriate thread (forum) I didn't realise existed.
Watched today and cannot believe how much the scouse continue to get away with, Milner, again, avoided two yellows, and he was only on pitch for 20mins or so. Plenty of others clattering through the back of Brighton players or making move-stopping fouls with impunity. Well done Brighton for sticking with it and getting a deserved equaliser (despite gifting scouse a way back into the game!).
I'm travelling up for our game against 'em 22Oct - should hopefully be a decent open game, a refreshing change from most visitors' set-up at our place, and we shouldn't take them too lightly!

They got away with murder today. Advantages, coming togethers, 50/50s all went the Dippers way. How many deliberate handballs & blatant fouls not earning yellows. It actually made me think that teams can target with professional fouls & be able to swap half the team when they are on yellows.

Well I’m not interested in all that hypothetical nonsense about we would/ wouldn’t have ever got that.

I didn’t follow the whole conversation. I was talking specifically about bookings, especially in the first half, can have serious consequences later on.
