2-0 Hartford and Owen just after the Bell come back game at Maine road v Newcastle.
Nice one pal.
I only remember that it was one of the Christmas fixtures at the end of 1977. My mates Capri broke down on the journey there, but he got the AA/RAC to attend and we got to Ayresome Park in the nick of time.
I also remember coming out after the game and the locals weren't to happy that they got beat, and were looking for City fans to take it out on.
I never wore colours back then,so I kept my head down and mouth shut and got back to my pal's car OK.
But alot of City fans had denim jackets with City badges on, so they stuck out like sore thumbs.
"Happy Days" !!

I have supported City ever since I was old enough to understand what football was. I still supported the club through the dark years at Maine Road before we somehow got back into the second tier, and then a couple of wonky years before the takeovers saved us. But if we had signed CR in 2020 I think it might well have made me walk away. Talented? Obviously! Wanker? Definitely! Disruptive and egocentric? Definitely! As for the club he signed for, it just goes to show how weak they are, it is all about selling merchandise.

Neil Ashton doing a dippers on Ronaldo.

Shame really. I hope they'd keep him a couple more years.

PR37 has been suspended for walking out before the end of the game last night.

So, let me get this right, Tranyaldo is angry that he’s being left unused on the bench and decided he doesn’t want to be part of the team in that role.

ETH says he will be disciplined, and tells him you will not be part of the team on Saturday.

Tranyaldo says “Thanks, that’s exactly what I wanted. Either put me on the pitch or let me stay home”

Tent Peg is showing worrying signs of being a good manager. That was the best United have played for a long time and the win was achieved despite appalling performances from Rashford and Sancho. The defence and midfield seemed to have a structure which surprised me. That said Spurs were pathetic. Passive and negative. Perhaps Conte is not the genius the media say he is.

I only watched the first half but I saw a 4 or 5 pass move that was very City-like. I thought I was watching the wrong match
