No we have special permission to have a HUGE squad that no one else can compete with, it must be true because I hear it a lot on the TV & radio, a certain Tony Cascarino says it nearly every time he opens his mouth on Talk Shite radio :-)
Yes. Because we can buy any player we want the PL have given us special permission

Supporters have added over 10,000 signatures to an online petition directed at owners Fenway Sports Group - led by John Henry and Tom Werner - calling for Hodgson to be removed immediately.

The accompanying letter, which runs to almost 3,000 words, lists the reasons why they want the former Fulham boss to be booted out.

The letter is divided into sections highlighting Hodgson's perceived weaknesses, headlined 'Inexperience at the top level', 'Relationship with the fans/Communication with the media', 'Signings' and 'Statistics' before concluding with a final 'Please Act Now' plea.

It starts: 'The undersigned plead with you to relieve our great club’s current manager, Mr Hodgson, of his duties immediately.

'Upon purchase of the club, a key promise you made was to engage with and listen to the fans – we very much hope this was with a view to acting on issues we feel tremendously strongly about.

'Indeed all have been impressed with your approach to managing the club and handling of the media to date, however now is the time to take swift and decisive action in respect of a matter vital to our progression.

'This is not simply an unconsidered reaction following the loss to Wolves yesterday evening, though this was clearly an unacceptable result, but a culmination of events over the past six months.

'Liverpool fans are widely regarded as knowledgeable and, crucially, extremely patient, and so the fact recent polls show that in excess of 95% wish to see Mr Hodgson removed from his position is evidence enough that it is time to fulfil your promise. Can a majority this overwhelming be ignored and, more importantly, all incorrect in their views?'

My heart bleeds for them.

And I know a lot of Scousers are of Irish descent but I don't recall Everton fans taking Irish flags to the game, except maybe the odd Irish fan group. Our captain is an Irishman too.
Your Captain is the Irish legend of the last decade, fucking adore Seamus Coleman. Since Duff, Robbie Keane, Dunnie and Given retired he's the heart and soul of our national team.

Come on Blues, no laughing, their patience is evidenced every time they have a big game and Queue up in an orderly fashion to enter the stadium, genuine ticket in hand, impeccable!

Back to Roy. And the truth.

Even Roy was scared of the quiet cult.

Is there anyone the cult doesn’t scare?

Dec, 2012.

Roy Hodgson has apologised for offending Liverpool fans with his comments made after Wednesday's defeat at home to Wolves. The Liverpool manager had to endure ironic chants of "Hodgson for England" during the 1-0 loss, while the crowd also sang the name of the club's former manager Kenny Dalglish.

Hodgson said after the game he had never had the "famous Anfield support"in his six months in charge and that was interpreted as an attack on his critics in the crowd. However, the 63-year-old has insisted that was not the case.

"If I have offended them in any way I deeply regret that," Hodgson said. "All I can do is apologise and make it perfectly clear there was nothing offensive in my comments."

Roy, you were a victim of the cult and it wasn’t your fault.

Boys.

Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball.

Back when I did my degree at Warrington Campus about twenty years ago, I was involved in organising a rugby league tournament at Crosfields RLFC. We raised money and the proceeds went to the Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball Peace Centre which is next door.
I was waiting at Manchester Victoria to work a train forward to Wakefield and York on the same night as the bombing in Warrington.
The train originated from Stanlow ORT, it had been delayed, which was very unusual.
There was good reason for the delay.
The train had been stopped between Stanlow and Warrington whilst a check was carried out on the gas holders in the town.I was unaware of the reason at the time but later found out that there were 2 explosive devices discovered on those gas holders, primed to go off when my train was passing.
Imagine the devastation that would have resulted had those devices not been found...

They really do like an apology don't they? I'm surprised they didn't want another apology of Hodgson as his apology wasn't a big enough apology.

Me too. I've never met him but according to blues who have, he's one of the nicest players we've ever had. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He comes from this little town called Killybegs and he's kind of a local hero there. I'm really hoping he doesn't turn out to be a horrible bastard like so many footballers.

@Grassland Blue HOLY FUCKING SHIT you dodged a bullet there.
