I think he's looked pretty laboured in the last two halves he has played for us. He got a knock to the ankle on Saturday and was lucky to come away from that tackle in the first half tonight unscathed.

I think there is a slight issue there but I expect him to be manage it up until the World Cup break.

Patch him up for 3 more games if neccesary then he gets a month's rest to recharge and freshen up. We aren't currently in a phase where we can manage without him, who's getting goals if he's not in he team? Grealish certainly isn't, mahrez is off the boil and isn't chipping in, Alvarez looks lively but he's still adjusting and doesn't offer a great threat just yet, Palmer isn't ready to be relied on yet. So if its not Haaland, we're looking at kdb or foden or nobody.

Big Erl got to wave at the Dortmund fans for 45 mins , but Erl can score at anytime, except if he is not on the pitch . A tactical withdrawal to ensure the "result" that was required for further projects .

"fever" may just mean sh1t performance, both were poor, both were rightly hooked.

Cancelo was embarrassing, not sure Erling saw enough of the ball to be judged either way.

The whole point of Haaland is that he's excellent at running into space so I have to say I'm really baffled at the lack of attempts to play him in last night. We tried exactly once and it was underhit.

Everyone looked to be going through the motions, pre world cup maybe to blame, viking apart!

It must be so frustrating for him for keep making runs and seeing the winger/mid play it backwards.

Just watched a live video of the lads getting off the plane, and Erling was deffo limping once he got down the stairs, not looking good for Saturday, but there are a few days yet so we shall see,was walking pretty bad though.

Especially in that 4-4-2 formation or whatever we were attempting to play. Cancelo was very wide left at times, with Foden more infield but it was bloody pedestrian and any time they could have found him or Alvarez the ball was rifled in giving them a job to control it. Dortmund didn't really allow much space, they were happy for us to keep it wide and pass backwards and crowded the central areas where Haaland could come alive. Alvarez didn't get involved enough for me, and he was crucial to making the system work (whatever that was). Hopefully Haaland is okay for Saturday, we'll need him. Leicester are finding a bit of form and will play on the counter so could do with him being available. He can have a full weeks rest then and we could rest him for the Chelsea league cup game, although with us only playing again once before the WC I'm sure Pep will rinse the first 11 whilst he's got them.

Maybe you should take up being a Ref.

Yep won the ball but his scissor motion, which trapped Erlings foot under Emre Can, was a foul.

Pretty simple really.
You were making out he’d tried to nail him. He got the ball and had to make the tackle as Erling was about to be gone. In the rules where you now basically can’t slide yes it was a foul but in reality it was just a good slide tackle.
