I liked the look of Lewis Hall, looked lively.Played well. Lost to the better team. Love Lewis Hall, would have been nice to see Omari Hutchinson. Glad to be out of the efl cup though.

Just like Callum Hudson Odoi and Billy Gilmour were, you can’t make a judgement on one performance, Hall looked good but so do many youngsters who fail to progress. If not for a bit of composure it could've been a different result, cracking player you have there!
Agree with all of that but his form for the two seasons before he left was very poor. To get £50m for him with only 12 months on his contract was excellent business by the club. I wish the lad well but not sure how long it will be before the Chelsea fans really turn on him and make his life a misery at the club? What do you expect for £50m? -:)
Good player who unfortunately believed his own hype and tried to hold city to ransom. His importance dwindled when he would not sign a new deal. The club continued to succeed and we started to change how we wanted our wingers to keep hold of the ball and retain possession. His first touch and ability to pick out the right pass started to get exposed. As said by many, he works hard and has a knack for getting into the right position but unfortunately his decision making if not on instinct let’s him down. Saying that he ain’t a wb. His performances on the right for city were decent before he left. Not sure what he is anymore.
Fair point, stand by what I said.Just like Callum Hudson Odoi and Billy Gilmour were, you can’t make a judgement on one performance, Hall looked good but so do many youngsters who fail to progress.
I and many others got pilloried on here by the Raz fan boys for pointing out his form was regressing and 45m was excellent business. I posted he didn’t look happy at the PL presentation and he didn’t turn out for the parade, said I think he was off, the bitterness of the Sterling fan club was palpable. Looks like he’s pissed on his Chelsea chips. I said at the time I like Raz as a person and wished him well but Chelsea is not a good fit for him.Agree with all of that but his form for the two seasons before he left was very poor. I wish him well liked the look of him.Yeah he's very good. He's has, in my opinion, outgrown youth football, so he's reached the same crossroads so many before him have - he needs to either be integrated into the first team or sent out on loan after this season. Personally with Chilwell injured and Kante/Kovacic being injury prone, I would integrate him right now. He's versatile, can play in midfield too, as well as RB and RW.
I've got all the time in the world for him and hope he gets back to his best (ideally in the next week in time for the world cup), but I do suspect we got his best years out of him.
Thought that chelsea side midfield was better than the one potter put out at the weekend plus the striker did more last night than abugong..
Can see Newcastle winning or not losing against these Saturday!
We are not winning that game. Newcastle are at home and they are on fire at the moment. I'd take a draw right now.
Right. I think his issue is that you need to build a team that gets the best out of him, which both Pep and Southgate had or have done in different ways, and then put an arm round his shoulder and build his confidence. He had that in his early 20s, and it sounds like that was part of Tuchel's pitch to him. But I don't think he's quite consistent enough for a team like Chelsea or City to build around him in that way, nor is he quite as adaptable as Pep and Potter will need him to be.I suspect, despite splashing 50m on him, that he'll eventually find himself being a sub for us. We're very close making the Nkunku signing official and we're heavily interested in Leao. If Sterling isn't careful, he could find himself in the exact same situation he was bemoaning at City.
Their results since we played at St. James' suggest that our point there was a very good one.Yeah going there now and getting a draw for any team is a good result
I can’t make my mind up if you played well or we were off it last night. If it hadn’t been for a fantastic night for our goalie the result would have been pretty close. I thought you played far better against us than Arse at the weekend. Did we give you more space?Yeah he's very good. He can always complete his development with us. We can do a double signing with Jude Soonsup-Bell

Interesting. I wouldn’t disagree. I thought you played well. Very fast on the transition at times. Hall looks an excellent prospect. I hope you give Potter time. We were wide open on the flanks and at times you took advantage of that. We are a different proposition with our first choice. Our midfield was more balanced with Kovacic and Zakaria and the front 3 was more mobile with Pulisic and Broja. I definitely Arsenal were way more compact in the middle and controlled us better, but of course that was their best team and this was your second string, so hard to compare really. We did play better though. Lots of fans were encouraged by the performance, especially Zakaria and Hall.
