Moving him to the RW to accommodate Gundo is a fucking massive tactical mistake.

He didn’t have a bad game today by any stretch but … I don’t know if it’s because he wants to leave or is just exhausted or what, but I feel like I’m watching a shadow of the player he used to be.

He works his bollocks off, he still does loads of defensive work for the midfield or goes through the motions on the wing, but I feel like the spark of magic when he has the ball has gone.

I hope Portugal go out early, he has a decent break and then Phillips can come in the second half of the season to give him more rest because if this is Bernardo’s last season I want to see him at his magical best, not the run into the ground version I think we are seeing now.

Nah almost never has a bad game in midfield including this season. It has become his role and its certainly not his fault the manager randomly pushes him wide for no apparent reason(well KDB is the reason but its an ongoing one)

He deserves top billing,where he can do what he does best,not shoehorned into a position to accommodate others.Its no wonder he is allegedly looking elsewhere.

Tend to agree - it’s too strong to say he looks out of sorts, and playing him out on the wing is of course a piss take, but he’s getting more plaudits for his work rate at the moment, rather than what he does with the ball.

For such a good player that’s a bit unsatisfactory.
