The truth is it? Not from where I see it. Nobody said we’ll piss the league. Win it though , yes I think so, why because we have the best manager and the best squad and over 38 games we will be the best team.We’ve looked great many times this season, and with 10 men last week were very good.

Yes, goals do win games. Sometimes a team can have a bad game and score more. Brentford converted two from the seven good chances you say they had. A sign of their quality, poor finishing or our good defending to limit it to two? Liverpool had more clear cut chances when they beat us in October, they scored, we didn’t, we had a lot more of the ball and control of the game - dominated as Salah said at the time. A bit like yesterday. Just the way it is in matches sometimes. So I’ll stick with my view that Brentford weren’t the better team, nor were we better than them. They were helped by the officials making it messy and we looked jaded after our umpteenth game trying to thread the ball through a low block eye of the needle. One of those games which will happen. Just a bit shitter that it happened in our last game for ages. We’ve come back from them before, we will again.

On what evidence are you basing it on that we would have won it twice? Their keeper barely got his gloves dirty, ederson had to save 2 1 on 1's in the first 10 minutes, de bruyne had to clear 1 off the line when 2 1 down, people on here mistake ball possession equals the better team

My point Is, is when you say controlled a game what do you mean? Is your idea of control pretty little passes backwards then sideways then backwards with no end product?

I bet if you look at all the results through the season. Not just City's. There will be quite a high percentage of wins for the team with LESSER possession.

A team could keep possession for 80 per cent of the game, but if they are just passing it about aimlessly but yet the other team have more shots on target and does BETTER with the little possession they have, then in my opinion they are the "better" team.

There often is an end product thus us being the top scorers in the league time and time again and on course to repeat it this season. Games like Saturday will happen from time to time but I doubt we are going to dismiss our philosophy which has served us well on the back of it.
There’s no polishing a shit, we were as bad as it gets at the weekend but that’s no reason to forget what this squad is capable of.

Ok and the weekend before 96th minute penalty the 2 0 0 draws in the champions league games, we have a lot of goals against cannon fodder teams, we have played 1 team in the top 4 amd drew

I was depressed for 3 months or so. Strangely the Real Madrid loss didn't hurt as much, I was over it in a day.. but that CL final one.. that hurt!

Mostly because we did it to ourselves..

Oh well if people on here have said it, hardly representative is it any more than those that before every season say we’ll struggle for top 4 or Pep has been found out. Most fans are realistic and fall in between and think we’ll fight for the title and with our players and manager and experience will be favourites.

Context. Last week was fucking fabulous considering the circumstances. Think we just managed the CL games professionally and was vindicated by finishing top of group without overly exerting ourselves. We know it’s a marathon this season and I genuinely feel it will pay dividends in the run in.
