Am sure during his contract negotiations pep was asked who he wanted etc so I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this narrative is now being used @tolmie's hairdoo ?
Can't stop the cavalry, son...

Alvarez, Foden, Grealish, Palmer, Borges
If they fail to finish in the top 4 their chances become ZERO!!
May not even make a difference at this stage. We aren't dictated by Liverpool's trajectory.
Borges plays on the left, it's Mbude who plays on the right for the EDS although I suspect we're losing him (just an impression rather than based on 'facts').Alvarez, Foden, Grealish, Palmer, Borges
I'd have thought there were more doubts over Mbeude, although there's no reason we couldn't lose both, which would be sad.Don't think Borges is going to make it with us, a few of the coaches still not sure he won't quit next summer.
Is that a Melinda May reference :)Can't stop the cavalry, son...
I guess signing another winger will make that a certainty, shame he looks like he could be at the minimum a good sale price with a buyback as is our new way.Don't think Borges is going to make it with us, a few of the coaches still not sure he won't quit next summer.
Nah, Jona Lewie, shirley? Is that a Melinda May reference :)
Ahh, I'd forgotten that one. Not the first time Tolmie has mentioned Christmas, am I missing something obvious?Nah, Jona Lewie, shirley?
They don't hang about do they :)

Enzo Fernandez to Liverpool claims debunked, as deal's true progress and Benfica's incredible profit hopes emerge
Strong claims doing the rounds regarding Enzo Fernandez to Liverpool have been clarified, including Benfica's stance on the transfer fee and how far advanced the deal actually is.www.teamtalk.com
I think they're both fantastic prospects, but we've gone from Bellingham having basically signed a contract with Liverpool because his dad is a lifelong red whose first dance at his wedding was Gerry and the Pacemakers and only called his kid Jude because he loves The Beatles to Bellingham being overrated shite and Enzo having a contract at Liverpool in the space of about 3 days. Every Liverpool big gob on Twitter has backtracked and climbed down in the space of about 18 hours. Just an amazing spectacle.
Always a shame when good prospects leave, but it adds a few more pennies to the 'net spend pot'Don't think Borges is going to make it with us, a few of the coaches still not sure he won't quit next summer.
If we sign Bellingham and if the media is right about us wanting Saka as well that means we are very England heavy in our squad. Would be alot more annoying when international football comes around. Be great for England though
That’s a shame I guess, I rate him highly, reminds me of a young Gary MacAllister at times when he’s on it.I know a lad who knows him. Jones isn’t arsed whether he plays or not. Loves the money and lifestyle but not the game itself apparently.
I cant help thinking that us being linked with Saka is as much shit stirring with the Arse and designed to cost them more money in wages etc than us actually wanting him.
Pretty sure @mattyb posted out of the blue late in October that we had an agreement in place with Arsenal for Saka.
