Discontent that will end the Tory Govt is coming

I do wonder how some on here manage face to face discussions with someone who, let’s say has a different opinion to them
If they find themselves backed in to a corner or struggle to answer a question is the solution to unleash a tirade of abuse or just blurt out your a thicko.
Me thinks it’s probably reserved for the keyboard.

It’s you’re or you are !!!

If you would vote for the conservative party right now, I would gladly call you a thicko to your face.

(If you would vote for the Tories now) Either, you aren't incredibly wealthy and you're a thicko, or you are incredibly wealthy and you're a greedy, horrible bar steward. There are no alternatives and to debate otherwise would be futile.

In my constituency, Stretford, and Urmston, 16% of people definitely aren't 'incredibly wealthy', so I can only deduce that they're thickos.

(Apologies to any resident thickos on the comparison of you to a Tory voter).

Get away, the Oxford English language dictionary know where to go for their next editor.
Is that honestly, the best you can do to get your point over.
Shouldn’t there be a question mark at the end of your post?… haha! Only kidding, I’m not nearly smart enough to be correcting others on their grammar. :-)

I assume you don’t know many people who are incredibly wealthy, whatever that means ,in numerical terms.
But then again, I don’t know many who are thickos ( by the way to those on here where correct grammar is essential, I am aware there is no such term) or what matrix you apply to define them.
What I do know is that most people , rightly or wrongly think they make a better job of spending their hard earned, than the Government can do with it.
So yes they will happily say in front of anyone oh yes we should spend more on this and that and the public services should all get inflationary pay rises but when it comes to paying for it they are only in favour if it’s them not picking up the bill via higher taxes.
That’s human nature I am afraid.

Brilliant input, that really takes the debate forward.
Even some of those who feel like you do must think WTF.

You think you debate ?

You spout crap as if you’re the font of all knowledge and can’t construct a proper sentence.

You want to debate? I’ll give you a debate, if that’s what you want. But first you’ll have to come up with a coherent point. Or you can go back over my posts and argue against any points I’ve made.

Before you criticise others on sentence construction you need to do a little bit of homework on diacope.

Thing is, they're not even that thick, at least some of them aren't. They're just so blinded with hatred for the Labour party and Corbynista politics (some still conflate the man with the party; as if socialism would ever take off in a global, western economy) that they can't summon the integrity to vote for change. They're obdurate to the point of self-destruction. It's as if the country hasn't been ravaged and picked to it's bare carcass in the last decade.

The Tory party have large portions of the electorate eating out of their hands for two reasons.

1.) We are a country of xenophobes and closeted racists. Truth hurts. The vast majority aren't, I will qualify. But there's a definite undercurrent; and the ultra-nationalist drum that the Tories have been banging ever since the Brexit referendum played on these sentiments. The Tories were the biggest advocates for divorcing from the EU, and the nationalist lemmings in this country lapped it up. All of a sudden, Johnson and his vanguard of Cronyism were the countries saviours. Even in staunch red seats, the tide turned because too many believe immigration to be the great scourge of this nation, and now the Tories were promising to restrict Jozef from Poland coming here to work every hour that God sends, picking fruit or delivering takeaways to the greedy cunts who sit on their arse and bemoan their belonging in this country in the first place.

2.) Division has never been starker. We live in the information age. The digital age. The phenomena of gratuitous information and minute-by-minute news has exploded exponentially since the Tories came to power. This digital age has led to firmly entrenched ideals and values. Once you've nailed your colours to the mast, that's you. The wriggle room for open-mindedness is zero. The Tories have large swathes of the electorate doing their job for them online. The ministers take their gross mistruths, dress it up in florid Oxbridge rhetoric, dump it into the digital space, and the lemmings disseminate the narrative until it's accepted as truth.

It's a sorry fucking state of affairs, really.
Nothing worse than early retirees who object to foreigners taking what used to be their jobs.

Top post!

Everything that is going on and the Sun’s front page is about a new TV programme. Must be a bad news day for the Tories so we’ll hide all the big stuff inside.

So you don’t want to debate then?
That’s exactly what I have been doing!!!
I have been putting forward alternative RELEVANT views but there are some on here, including yourself, that end up making it personal.
It adds nothing to the debate and viewers are really not interested in what you think about me, or what I think of you.
You have never met me, never will,so there is little point in making it personal.
Keep to the subject and and I will be happy to debate.
If I agree with something you say I will tell you so, if I don’t, I wont personally slag you off because your opinion is different to mine, I will tell you why I don’t agree.

It is not 'lefty" to ask for honesty, integrity and fairness. It is not radical to ask for a government to be held to account for the promises that they made that were not delivered. The idea that the market will dictate what someone earns pre-supposes that people shift, when many do not, for a variety of external factors. We can have greater fairness, and the public sector can be the driver of that. Hopefully, we are nearing the end of a terrible period in British history, where division and dishonesty have ruled, with an impact that will be felt for generations.
Honesty, integrity and fairness are just subjective political speak.
Quote me one MP of any party who would not say they have all 3 qualities.
I cannot recall any one Government who has kept to its promises.
In their defence they have to live in the real world and change course depending on world events or any events they could not possibly foresee or control.
As with both sectors public, and private there are good and bad cases.
It’s a dream/wish that the public sector can be the driver of fairness because each division within it is driven by their own agenda.
Your principles are sound, but unachievable in the real word.

I am struggling where to find the bit about taking us to War over non existent weapons of mass destruction.
Oh whilst I am on, where will I find the bit where the Labour Party were clamouring for a General Election when Brown took over from Blair.
You know.. like they have done over the Tory leadership change.

Honesty, integrity and fairness are just subjective political speak. No. Words have meaning
Quote me one MP of any party who would not say they have all 3 qualities. There are many liars amongst our MPs, particularly in the current Tory party
I cannot recall any one Government who has kept to its promises. Answered by Vic
In their defence they have to live in the real world and change course depending on world events or any events they could not possibly foresee or control. All Governments have to react to events. Most don’t see said events as opportunities to line their pockets.
As with both sectors public, and private there are good and bad cases. Agreed. But the privatisation of key services has largely been a vehicle to exploit both the taxpayer and the country in general.
It’s a dream/wish that the public sector can be the driver of fairness because each division within it is driven by their own agenda. Behaviour in the Public Sector can be mandated and so this is possible.
Your principles are sound, but unachievable in the real word. Unachievable? Why?

See my comments in bold. I await your response.

Whataboutery. Did they keep their pre election promises or not.

Non quantifiable as the words are subjective
Lying MP’s is not the at the sole discretion of the Tory MP’s
Name the MP’s who lined their pockets, don’t forget the Scottish guy from Labour, the one who sounds a bit creepy with his squeaky voice who lectures on morals but took 1/2 a million quid for access to his diary.
Effects of privatisation, that’s a personal opinion , not a fact.
See my reply to Vic
Humans make the agenda so very difficult to legislate for groups on grounds of a particular agenda so individual behaviour cannot be mandated as you cannot force someone to do something they don’t want to.
Priciples are subjective, never in the history of existence have we ever as a species agreed as a group what is right and wrong.
