I suppose all the piss that was thrown was urine samples that the scousers were dropping off at their GP’s the next day and were just resting on the railings
Thing is we supported them re Hillsborough as many fans did, and what do we get in return. Many blues lost family and friends there, it's not even uniquely a disaster that affected them. They need to be called out by their own fanbase and club, but even then I doubt they would change their ways. They have weaponised Hillsborough and that in itself is as offensive as any chants that might upset them.Everyone sees it, all sets of fans know what they’re like. But their constant deflection means they always get away with it.
I really do feel sorry for your fanbase having to share a city with them.
Within minutes of coming online after the game last night, having sat in the ground the entire game and witness no Hillsborough chanting of any kind, ‘Hillsborough’ was being brought up online by Liverpool fans. They’re fucking mental.
not sure if posted but even so these cunts have some front on them
True. Think that applies to their client journalists too. There’s rarely, if ever, any criticism of their fans’ actions from the likes of Simon Hughes, David Maddock, Chris Bascombe, James Pearce etc.Any contrition by the club would help, it would help a lot, it would send a signal to their fans that the door swings both ways.
A very good point, most of us wouldn't really consider. They have weaponised Hillsborough and that in itself is as offensive as any chants that might upset them.
Its hard to know. I think the clubs are desperate to move away from the toxicity of recent matches and considered it better to work together to normalise things. Maybe there has also been a bit of introspection at the clubs on how they have to lead by example not potentially stoke the flames.i wonder if we're playing the long game with these joint statements for the game at our ground. paving the way for a joint message in the next game at Anfield. try and drag liverpool into taking a clear stance so that they have to be seen to back it up.
Fucking disgrace, is this part of the club being run by backward twats? It looks like it to me, start pointing the finger in the right direction City you dummies![]()
Manchester City FC and Liverpool FC joint statement
Manchester City FC, Liverpool FC and the Chairs from our supporter groups have worked together in recent weeks to remind fans of our expectations and both clubs would like to thank the vast majority of fans for their behaviour at last night’s Carabao Cup match at the Etihad Stadium.www.mancity.com
I just worry that if this carries on the club will attract pervs like @idahoblues who would see 90 mins of footy and a golden shower as value for money. I know misty soon cancelled his tunnel club membership once he realised no one was going to shit on the glass roof.I suppose all the piss that was thrown was urine samples that the scousers were dropping off at their GP’s the next day and were just resting on the railings
Exactly, some on here need to wake up2 clubs? Only one has posted it.
they did the exact same to Ederson when he was carried off on oxygen whilst unconscious!Pretty sure the club took out a full page ad in the match programme that day, expressing our ongoing condolences to the families bereaved on that dark day in South Yorkshire. Yet their feral fans dished out abuse to Yaya as he was stretchered off. They have a not insignificant section of scum in their fanbase. "Best supporters in the world"? Like fuck they are.
Apparently there was some racist abuse from a City fan towards Liverpool fan, so the club should rightly condemn that, as should Liverpool with the numerous missiles thrown and the man assaulted outside the stadium. The sooner clubs start accepting responsibility for, or at least acknowledging, the specific actions of their fans then it’s more of a starting point than vague, joint statements imo.I can see the logic of the one before the game, but not the one this morning, almost everything last night was on them, City should have been condeming it, simple as that. There didn't appear to be any/many derogitory chants from us from what I heard either. More than one of our supporters suffered injury it seems, so we shouldn't be doing "joint statements" that appear neutral, not good enough from City.
tbf they also posted it 9hrs ago, as did we on social media pagesExactly, some on here need to wake up
Yep, 8 minutes of treatment on the pitch and then boo's from the majority of the liverpool fans.they did the exact same to Ederson when he was carried off on oxygen whilst unconscious!
Why do Bluemoon time after time allow gobshite dippers on here trotting out their endless litany of self pitying excuses that nobody in the whole country believes. None of these pitiful fuckers add anything new or sensible to the debate and they merely seek to antagonise blues which they invariably do.
Seriously why do Bluemoon give them a platform ??
No problem with that Ric, but the bulk of last nights issues seem to be one way from what I've read here, so joining up with them, especially after the other controversial letter/email wasn't a good idea.Apparently there was some racist abuse from a City fan towards Liverpool fan, so the club should rightly condemn that
