At the mo grealish at £100m is WAY better value than philips at £40m and gomez at £20mDefinitely the bench mark mate. Akanji, Haaland, Philips & Gomez all costing over £100m each

What are you going on about? I have no idea.
So they changed it as well then.Im going on about people saying Grealish & Mahrez changed the game. They didn’t the pattern of the game had well and truly changed by the time the second set of subs came on.
YawnFoden skinned him twice in the 10-15 minutes of the second half where we were actually playing with any intensity.
I don’t think Grealish took him
on once to be fair.
Jack’s comments after the game were interesting though, and totally dispel the myth that he’s told not to drive at the fullback.
It was a nice cameo, the momentum had well and truly changed at half time.
On City site they say he is out through illness.anyone know if he’s injured? not even on the bench for the game today
Opinions aren't wrong mate, he hardly played. My opinion is that he is an ok squad player, over priced but really likable lad...£100m is a hell of a lot of money regardless of what came after ..yes benchmark for any Englsh midfelder for us in future. What do you mean it doesn’t help us going forward? If you mean on the pitch, we won the league last season after signing him and are well placed this season. If you mean in terms of our transfer strategy/policy going forward, that is also plainly wrong. We have had a huge net influx of transfer money since we signed him and picked up several bargains last summer. So, your assertion that £100 million is our benchmark for an alright squad player is demonstrably wrong.
So what do you mean, doesn’t help us going forward? How has his signature hampered us going forward? Can you give examples, given he was signed about 18 months ago. They should have manifested themselves by now.

He is a great squad player as i said in every JG post. He keeps the ball, great attitude, seems to enjoy being here...just a bit limited in my opinion as a player but can play a role and ye if he went for a realistic tag I'm sure he would be a little more expansive (within the confines of Pep's wide player role)And yet he played more than Mahrez, Gundogan, Walker and Stones.
Go figure !
BTW it’s the squad that wins not your view of a first eleven.
For most clubs the new sustainability rules means you cannot afford to waste money on bad transfers. Why are people so hung up on transfer fees, it makes no difference to their seat prices, no difference to their wallet. I go to watch City play football not study the balance sheet, I cheer every goal whether its scored by a free transfer player or one thats cost a fee. I am happy to leave the buying of players to the City management who have brought us great success over the last 12 years. In short WTF has transfer fees City pay got to do with our supporters or supporter's of other clubs and their managers.
Who City spend their money on is a matter for the club not some bystander, reporter or supporter. Concentrate on the football, it's great;-)For most clubs the new sustainability rules means you cannot afford to waste money on bad transfers.
They are better than FFP for us.For most clubs the new sustainability rules means you cannot afford to waste money on bad transfers.
